Ocular Mareks? Any doubt?

I have several with ocular Marek's that are living very happy lives, so it's not always a death sentence.

I know this is a very old thread, but I've just stumbled upon it. Can I ask you a question about keeping - or not keeping - chickens with ocular Marek's? I have one hen whom I fear is suddenly showing signs.

It would be good to start a new thread of your own here:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures.10/post-thread

and post pictures of the eyes. Many byc members have Mareks in their flock, and some of those have ocular Mareks. There is no need to cull these chickens. Once the disease is in your flock and environment, it lasts for many years. There are other eye issues that might seem like ocular Mareks.

Thank you. I just did. But the pics wouldn't load, so I ended up posting it again... so now there are 2 threads with very similar names until I can get the 1st deleted! The correct one, with the pics, also has a note about a bizarre sight behavior at the very end of the post too! Ugh!
