I have decided to essentially try to train my egg eater not to eat eggs. Maybe it's a little far fetched but I know chickens can be trained. I take her out of the coop in the evening and isolate her until she has laid an egg and so have most of the others. If she pecks an egg, whether I place it in front of her or she lays it, I swat her away and scold her. When she is good, I give her a treat. I left an egg in with her for five minutes while feeding the others and she didn't peck it. I was afraid I was disturbing her mentally haha but she doesn't seem bothered. We still get along and she allows me to pick her up and pet her while in the yard.

Anyway, this morning I came in to see if she was laying and she was making herself a cute little nest and seemed to be in that trance sort of stage they go in. But when she moved around I saw an egg under her. I took it out, it was really weird shaped! Like sort of flattened! I've been giving her a lot more calcium lately to try to sort her out.... anyway, even after I took the egg from her she still acted like she was going to lay one. She got all trance like and settled in. Picked up straw and put it over her. Why would she do that?? I thought she might lay another, I thought I felt one in her abdomen but after a couple hours I let her out with the others.
