Odd Behaviour

Today when i went down to check on my chickens i heard my isa browns making some weird noises so i had a look she was in the nesting box and had a egg under her but it seemed like she was trying to push it out of the nesting box with her head it was really odd.

My first thought was she might be a bit broody. Often times broody hens will push the eggs about with their head/beak so they can get it in a comfortable position to sit on. Or she could've just been getting ready to lay and needed to move the egg out of the way.

Well I think she must be getting a bit broody the because it was one of her eggs (my 2 isabrowns have very diffrent looking eggs)

Ahh, okay, she must be a bit broody, even if it is a little late in the season. Sounds like broody behaviors.
