Odd bump on chicks rear, please help!

more pics may help...where is it in relation to the vent? Below or above it, off to one side? when you take the pics try to include where the vent is
I’ll be able to get more pictures this afternoon when I’m back from church. It’s a little ways below the vent, enough distance that there’s a line of feathers between them.

Glad that it is a yolk sac instead of a prolapse, and that others recognized the problem.
I came home to find that the chick couldn’t get back in the hen house, so the mom left it. (This was in the middle of the day.) I tried to warm her up under a chick heater thing, but it was too late. She didn’t make it but a few hours after that.

Any advice for the one with the broken beak? I’m trying to keep that one alive, but he can’t eat on his own.
I'm sorry you lost the one.

The beak...your picture isn't very clear so I can't see just how bad it is.

Can you take another?

You can try to wet some feed to see if it can eat better with it wet.

I think the "bump" is the umbilical and unabsorbed egg yolk. I'd put some Vaseline or something on it to keep it protected while it resolves but otherwise leave it alone.

I can't tell anything on the beak photo.

Is the beak broken all the way to the cere? It kind of looks like it is but the photo is a little hard to make out.
To feed any bird with a beak issue you'll need to moisten the food and serve it in a deeper dish so it can really get in there and try to eat.
A little clearer photo of just how much is missing would be a huge help.:)

I’ve tried giving her wet feed that was in a baby medicine syringe,(don’t worry, never had medicine in it before.) giving her a few food and water drops at a time. But, it’s a struggle to get her to eat it even that way. I’m trying oatmeal right now, but even when it’s really wet I can’t get her to even try. The only thing I’ve seen her do right is drink water.

I posted a better photo in another reply above this one.
