Who has a few odd ball chickens that you only have one of? I have a GLW hen and a gold mixed breed hen that are in the "Only one" group. My GLW had a sister, but she was killed by a neighbor’s dog. And my gold mixed breed hen was thrown in the mix of Welsumers I got from my Mother-in-law. Don't have a clue what she is.
So what are your "Lonely Onlys"

I have an "Orchin" Cochin Roo X Buff Orp Hen, hubby made up the breed name. She is a hen so will stay in the laying flock.

All but my original flock are "odd" LOL

I like it like that, I never know what i'm getting when the egg hatches.

I've got 3 standards & a banty cochin. The banty, Tribble, is just over a pound and follows the others everywhere. She gets distressed when she can't find them. It's funyn b/c the big girls are challenging each other all the time and they never seem to challenge Tribble. They all roost together and Tribble gets her fair share of food.

I can't figure out at all where she is in their pecking order. I think it goes:
#1 Dumpling (BR)
#2 Gwen (BSL)
#3 Nugget (RIR)

and in her own category:
A - Tribble

I have one turken, one silkie, one polish, one game hen..one Golden Comet,
three buff orps, and two Serama pullets.

Maybe I need to hatch out some more of those single ones....next spring. I think my turken is fast becoming my favorite brat, though.

Oh, so glad I can give my girl some attention...

I have a sweet partridge cochin who was badly snubbed at her original home so we took her in. Poor thing is snubbed here too, but we don't have a fenced in area like she used to be in, so she isn't cornered and pecked and not allowed any food. Slowly she is realizing that she is not as chased as she was previously and is getting more courage. She actually roosted on the top branch the past two nights!!

She came to us with two little polish chicks who can not be integrated yet because they are small, but who live in the coop inside a large dog crate. She goes over to them sometimes and coos and I wonder if the three will make a new sub-flock within our bunch when they get let out..... Poor thing!!
:aww

I have 2 loners 1 dutch banty and a japanese banty, guess they aren't loners because they have each other but the jap is handicapped so she stays in the front yard by choice and waits for her dutch banty friend to return at dusk to go to their "garage coop" together. If anything happened to the dutch (ginger) The japanese (pumpkin) would never be the same.

Ginger is on the left and pumpkin is on the right
