odd chick sexing technique, anyone seen this?

This site shows an interesting method of sexing chicks at two days: pick it up by the base of the neck and hold it there. If it relaxes and droops, it's a pullet. If it moves around and kicks up its feet, it's a cockerel.

Has anyone else heard of this? If it's true, what reason could there be for this behavior?
 
seen folks do it...based on the idea that males are more aggressive and ready to fight

I am right about 50% of the time...

Flip a quarter over the chick. You'll have a 50/50 success rate.

Those crazy sexing methods are just old farmer's tales (I'd say wives, but..) The absolute best method is the "Wait and See" method. Works every single time.
