She might be frightened by the others.I have a chicken who will not roam around she just stands in the corners with her beaks in the corner all day and night (she sleeps in the corner as well) what can I do
What can I do to stop thisShe might be frightened by the others.
Hard to know what to do, if you aren't sure of the issue. Do you see other picking on her or do they ignore her? I have a pullet that barely moves around and is generally self isolating. I've been wondering about her. She does seem to make to the roost each night, and back out of the coop in the am.What can I do to stop this
Is she blind?
Dropping a small stick near her (in her line of sight) she should react before it hits the ground. Tossing a cricket towards her.Any good tricks to determine blindness, besides the normal "running into things, etc?"
Hold her in your lap, bring your hand around from the back of her head to the side and see if she reacts....do the same on the other side.Any good tricks to determine blindness, besides the normal "running into things, etc?"
