Odd colorings of my chicks

We hatched a few eggs from our chickens back in March. When they hatched they were yellow with one having a little red streak down its back but now they have, of course, dramatically changed and am curious as to what others think about the colorings and maybe even the genders.

I don't know what to think. But I've knoticed that with some of my mutts, the siblings that look alike tend to be the same gender. Its kinda like sex-link colors. My understanding of it has always been that if it looks more like the mom=male, more the like dad=female. But idk, I havn't really experimented much/kept tract, I've just noticed it with some of mine.
