I took a close look at her today. The head area is darker than the rest and she´s grayish with a small touch of brown-reddish if anything. So I think light blue with some colour bleeding though in the head area. Tried searching for other light blue chickens, but most hits are about light blue eggs
. So if anyone would like to share pictures of light blue birds it´s greatly appreciated. I´ll post more pictures of my hen when she is finished growing and starts laying around March.
I think she can´t be splash with a blue roo and a black hen as parents and no actual ´splash´ showing...?
Rec or dominant white are extremely unusual colours in my part of the woods, since I keep a traditional barnyard breed I doubt there were are any white genes in there. With all the hungry eagles and hawks white birds get selected out pretty fast and there is the saying "Eat the splash birds before someone else does it."
