odd duckling behavior/life threatening?

just gave my duckling nutritional yeast flakes from the store, sprinkled 1 tbsp of it into wet food, gave him a break afterwards and gave him a big bowl of water since it seemed like the texture bothered him. now he's sort of lifting his head up high and snapping at the air repeatedly but takes breaks to nibble at my foot then goes back to doing it. is he choking? is this a texture issue? please help

do you have a dish of grit for him (crushed granite) nearby the food ?

thats great or look for them at your local feed store if you have one like tsc. anything they eat besides their feed they need grit to digest
