Odd egg incubating ???

So I have the egg in this pic curious if it could still be fertile or if anyone’s ever heard of or seen two chicks from a double yolk egg

It could be fertile but double yolked eggs don’t typically hatch from what I’ve heard. Cool egg though!

That’s what I’ve read but let’s see hahaha most eggs I’ve had have been showing signs of fertility

Usually one embryo dies and ends up poisoning the other one. If they survive to hatch day (which is rare) they always need help to hatch because they cannot get into the right position to pip and it rarely ends well. The resulting chicks (if they can be saved) are generally smaller and weaker. So weigh up if it is worth the extra effort that will be required if they do manage to survive.
