My chicken had been laying pretty much daily until Boxing Day when she lasted something soft and had a bit of shell/membrane left in her vent. I kept an eye on her but she’s been fine, not laying I don’t think, but happy and possibly moulting. Today she was fine, eating corn & mealworms at 3:30, but by 4 was hiding in the hedge looking unwell. At 5 I went to lock them up and she was in the box straining so I waited - what came out was this … followed by a shell-less egg - it was in a membrane, but burst when I scooped it up.
What is this?! Is it a lash egg? It was crunchy and smelt like off egg. 🤢

Yes, I think it is a lash egg. :(

What is her age?

Does she have access to a formulated ration.. or is that what she eats full time?
She’s about 18 months - 2 years I guess?

She has layer’s pellets throughout the day and I throw in scraps when I have them. In the afternoons they generally get a few handfuls of corn to share and a few mealworms as a winter treat.

I have a molting bantam who stopped laying normal eggs. Are these shell-less eggs or lash or something else? She eats layer premium. Doesn't touch oyster shells. I've got the calcium/vitamin D pills. I tried some in yogurt. No go. i'll try some in scrambled eggs this afternoon. She doesn't seem distressed but occasionally she rocks back and forth on a perch and sings. I don't know how old she is. She came into the chicken rescue as a house chicken. People said they couldn't keep her because they had a house fire. That is all I know

Awww.... she's precious!

Those are shelless eggs. Pop those calcium pills directly into her beak. She'll swallow them. Giving pills to chickens is crazy easy.
