I was wondering if anyone knows why this would happen. These eggs were laid by the same hen a day apart. The odd shaped one actually has a weird texture with kind of a raised edge across the middle. Is the shape something that occasionally happens? There are also ducks in the coop too, kind of reminded me of a duck shaped egg. Also thought the texture may be a calcium issue but didn't want to jump to conclusions. Thanks in advance!

Yes, I always look at the article than Barnhart linked. But for the lifted part, I think it means (if I'm remembering correctly) that the egg broke or got damaged while still in the hen's body and so the body fixed it before coming out by adding another layer of shell, basically. Also if she is young, mistakes and odd eggs are common.
