Odd egg

Hey y'all I just found the oddest shaped egg my red hen has ever laid!
Is this normal or do I just have a wacky hen?

Shell gland glitch....could be a one off, or could indicate other problems.

she is almost a year old and never had odd shaped eggs before.... Large Eggs yes but not like that

she is a Novogen.. which I think is a cross between a rode island red and another breed. I wasn't worried about it really just curious as I hadn't seen that before

High production breeds do seem to be susceptible to reproductive system ailments.
Time will tell if it's a glitch or a problem.
