Odd eggs

Egg characteristics can be manipulated by managing genetics. Are the italians laying the same shape of egg every time? Is more round than normal or more pointy? Serious breeders will cull birds that produce odd shaped eggs since poorly shaped eggs can affect the ability of a chick to hatch. That said make sure they are laying the same shape consistently before deciding to cull any.

Ok here is a pic of the egg in question.
I personally just hatched a Jumbo from an egg that looked exactly like that. Had a cracked look to the shell, you really would have thought it ws about to bust open...my healthiest most active chick came from that egg. Going back to what the OP said, in ya'lls eyes is there anything of concern about a hen laying that consistently?
