Odd looking eggshell

Anybody know what’s going on here? One of our two Copper Marans has started laying eggs like this. This is the second one we’ve seen like this. One side of the egg looks perfectly fine but the other side has a chalky white ring that doesn’t wash off. The entire shell feels thinner than our other eggs. Any input is appreciated!

The second picture looks exactly like a floor egg. That is when a fresh egg comes in contact with feces in the bedding. Are these out of the nests?

That looks like a white banded shell to me and it happens when two eggs come into contact in the shell gland pouch. The first egg in the pouch gets extra calcification.

This and the other egg were both found under their roosts, so I believe that it was caused by contact with feces. Is the egg still edible?

As long as you don't eat it raw.
