A two year old who has been doing a bit of molting layed this today.
She seems fine, eating and drinking.
the mass was rubbery on the outside, had a thin shell inside. And thick rubbery pale parts.
Should I be concerned???

Lash egg (salpingitis) is from an infection in the reproductive tract. It may be viral or bacterial in nature. A bacterial infection can be treated with antibiotics such as enrofloxacin (https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/lash-egg.1441042/ ) but you'd need to ID which bird has the infection before attempting to treat due to withdrawal times on eggs/meat after use. I've been able to ID the sick bird from the location of the lash egg (since I've always found them under the roost) and from the bird's general behavior.
