I hope the pictures show this. This hen looks blueish on the tail but the wings look almost redish buff. She does not look like my Golden Blue Palms. She has both Blue Palm babies and some babies with a Brown gene. I don't have any breeding Toms with a brown gene, so it must be comming from her. She is too light to be a Chocolate Palm but maybe she has both slate gene and brown????? The blue making the brown light???? Would that be called a Chocolate Slate Palm?

i talk to kevin porter and they found out the kind of turkeys
i have they are chocolates and milk chocolates none of them are auburn turkeys
the person i bought them from may it clear what kind they were
feathers were sent to kevin to determine what kind they were
now the person that wanted one of my toms thought some were
auburn and change their mind on getting the turkey
base on your answer that was incorrect they are chocolates
and milk chocolates, i knew kevin would be the one to determine what
kind of chocolate turkeys i had, and the person that i bought them from
was able to clarify what breed of turkey they are, because the
feathers were sent to kevin porter which he has alot of experience
on turkey colors, the feathers of auburn were put side to side
and saw they are not auburn turkeys, thanks have a great day

Go back and read my answer and what you wrote. I was trying to teach you something. Not argue. You said they were auburn with a chocolate gene. I said that is impossible. You can have a chocolate split/bronze but you can't have a auburn split/ black based chocolate.

Palms are Black winged bronzed based. It is not the same as your turkey at all.

that turkey color looks really pretty
you should post the picture in the group
so kevin can see the picture
maybe you can mail kevin some feathers
of the turkey
with the brown turkeys i am going to cross
one of the hens with a royal palm tom
to see if the result would look close
to the chocolate palm turkeys
if it does not look like chocolate plams
then it is going to make another unrelated line
of turkeys, then i can mail kevin some feathers
to compare with his chocolate palm turkeys

hi omabird saw a milling company in california
that sells feed in bulk, but the minumum
is five tons, the company is the star milling company
and the bag usually says kellys feed
here is their website www.starmilling.com
and their phone number is 951-657-3143
i used this feed for my turkeys
and they look awesome, i have also tried purina
but found kellys feed works best and its manufacture
by the star milling company in california

do you know what it usually cost for the five tons of turkey feed
last time i wanted to buy in bulk but i need to buy the tower
where to put the feed, i have seen some for sale
but wanted to know what it usually cost for five tons of turkey feed
of kellys brand or also the Ace Hi brand thanks

I have never bought the 5 tons. Thats for a custom mix. I buy 50 lb bags of Turkey Starter. I have a hard enough time with 50 lb bags. I am not very physical any more. I like my feed to be fresh. Once grains are ground they start to lose nutrition and turn rancid. The self life in cool dry weather is about 30 days. Warm weather is about two weeks. I have to many things that will rip the bags open if I bought in bulk. Then I would have to store it. I have more than just the turkeys, chickens, geese and ducks. I have horses, goats, and pigs too that I have to keep the food dry and safe.

does the ace hi feed turkey crumble
is it free from hormones and other things
is the ingredients natural, i want to feed my turkeys natural
feeds and not feed with hormones or with other things
because when you eat a turkey what you feed them
is what you eat, i want to try to eat natural foods this year
thanks
