Odd shaped egg, something wrong with chicken?

My first laying chicken layed an egg yesterday, it was odd shaped, kind of rinkley. She normally lays around 11 in the morning, and she laid late, so is there something wrong with her?

I sometimes got eggs like these from my chickens as well and I was wondering the same thing. Then I saw a programme on TV about egg farms and heard hens lay eggs like that when they are stressed or got a fright sometime during the time they produced the egg. My 6yo son used to like harassing the chickens and chasing them around and I've started paying attention. Whenever he managed to completely freak out the hens I got weird shaped, wrinkled eggs like that the next day. We call them "stress eggs" There does seem to be some truth in this theory...

Hmm, We've got a lot of birds in our yard, poor things, It's dove season so people have been hunting them, we can't do anything about that, so I think that's what has Angel stressed and maybe the egg problem, but seems mom told me that she tried to jump up in the box, but mom's never seen her lay or been around her around that time ya know, So, mom was standing there watching her, she tried to jump up, but again being watched, only one who's watched her was me, so shes shy I am guessing, she did pasing to until mom left the coop, and Angel jumped right up there and did her thing. So it's nothing to worry about? And from what I heard she made alot of noise after she laid it or during, which means I believe she finally sang her egg song, didn't start this until my other girls began to lay, second layer was on Friday and my third Yesterday which was tiny for her first egg it was cute lol. Do hope nothing serious here. Just some stressed chickens, also had a hawk land in our yard a few days before this began too, IT saw we had water and I guess it wanted some so it landed on the duck pool. the egg looks like an ollld rinkley egg or a raisin egg x3 can't wait til the rest get to laying lol.
