What makes a large or round-like shape egg bad for incubation, of course if the breed isn't suppose to have eggs like this.

Thanks

A large egg would indicate that it has a double yolk. Apparently they have a slim chance for survival or even make it to hatch date. Although I have one in my bator since there is a slim chance. Another person on here successfully hatched a double yolker and called the chicks Fiddle and Faddle. Anyway, I'm not sure why a round egg would be bad for incubation. I would put it in the bator. But that's just me.

my best hatch ever was from round eggs. I mean ROUND! I had to candle some to find out what side to put up. I bought twelve, she sent extras and thirteen hatched! As a bonus, it was three cockerels and ten pullets! Best outocome ever! LOL
Don't toss an egg cuz it's round, just try it anyhow if it's from chickens you want.

I set these eggs at 3:00 PM yesterday.
