I candle the eggs on the daily and just noticed this little funny looking shape in one of my more developed eggs. (It's the little liver-shaped thingy between the dark sides) Is this bad? I'm kinda new to incubating by myself 😄

I'm not seeing the fit your referring to, have these eggs been turned regularly?
I've been turning them 6 times a day. But I guess there's a pretty big 8 hour gap while I'm at school. But I check and turn them hourly on weekends. Some of them are all lop-sided like this one, but most of the others are all dark (minus the air sac)

A bit excessive but it won't hurt it.
I'd just watch it for now, nothing looks too concerning.

An odd # of times per day is generally recommended to combat the 8 hour lapse you mention.. since they develop at the top of the egg.. and if it's 6 times every day except weekends then it's spending most of it's time on that one same side.

The all dark ones sound more correct.. These like this one, might be quitters. I'll admit candling is not my area of expertise.. but I expect to see blood vessels and more development.

A late embryonic death (after a couple days) should develop a dark clumpy area and a lighter liquidy area and be sort of sloshy inside, the shadow should grow daily on a healthy egg, regression is a bad sign. If it isn’t stinky you can leave it in a few days just in case.
