Odd Yawning behavior in 2 week old chick. Help?

Well...I would just watch to make sure all the usual’s are happening (eat/drink/poo).
I can remember when I first found out about Cecal Poop.
My chicks were kept in my bathroom and when they were big enough they’d run around loose. I’d come in first thing in the morning and I would notice and clean all the normal poops from before I entered the room ... I promise you they would let loose puddin’ Poo’s (Cecal) just when I came in :barnie
I was about to panic but I started paying attention. They were so happy to see me they would....well ya know!
Trust your gut.
Keep an eye out. Watch his/her behaviors for clues.

Oh my gosh guys! I just caught him eating the paper towels o use for the bedding! :th He rips it and eats it before I can get it away from him! :barnie

I’ll get some coconut oil today. I hope he’ll be okay :fl

6 months old... all of her sister's are laying eggs except her. She eats, drinks, and all around acts normal. Aside from standing with her eyes closed like this:

But she’s been doing that for a while now.

She is cute. Does she still do the crop adjusting thing now and then? Most chickens do that at times. I have had bantam hens who were not very good layers or they would lay sporadically. If she has never laid an egg, she may have some type of reproductive problem, such as internal laying.

Thank you! Yes, she does. She hasn’t ever laid, but then again she is only 6 months old, so I’ll give it time. :hugs

I'm curious, how did this turn out?
I've spied my little 9-10 week old OEGB "yawning" occasionally
after we finally got them outside, along with a few of the other littles.
I'm sure @HuffleClaw will be back online soon, but in the meantime can you give a bit more information?
When do you notice the "yawning" - after eating/drinking?
Do you provide grit (crushed granite) for you chicks?
What do you feed?
Check her crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink - the crop should be empty/flat.

Photos of her are always welcome (we love photos) and if you happen to get the yawning on video, that would be great too!
