Found this today inside was a normal yoke and whites you can see the egg itself is shaped with a convex protrusion around the hole and an almost dark or burn look to it

This came from a new layer, correct?
I had a similar egg. Two actually from a newly laying pullet. She also laid an egg (with hard shell) within another hard shelled egg. Very strange stuff from that girl. She lays perfectly normal eggs now.

Thank you, is it dangerous or mean the chicken is unhealthy?
Not necessarily. I have a hen that lays super thin shells and they often have a hole like this.

I would be wary and know it's possible one day one breaks inside if she persists laying like that

No she’s been laying for a few years , always very nice big thick shelled eggs

What breed is she?
Cold still be a glitch.
She may be ramping down production for the molt and winter break.
You can get some funky around that time.
I am assuming you are in the northern hemisphere, so....
Welcome to BYC! @PandaBee
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!
