Holy cow! I’ve been lied to! I just looked them up and mine do look just like Cuckoo Marans!
I’m going to get pics of my girls today, maybe I’ll start a thread on this, I’m curious now

She’s a hatchery quality barred rock. Marans have pink skin.
@MysteryChicken ’s rocks are heritage, which is why their barring is a lot crisper.

All the hatchery Barred Rocks I've had never been a smudgy Cuckoo type barring. Just uneven, sloppy Barring.

Should I be concerned? Tiny Ophelia has perked up a lot, but her crop is very full and squishy. I can never feel the food she’s eaten - or any texture, really, while I can with the others.
