Yes he is an OEGB however I’m not too certain on his coloring because I haven’t seen anything like him. He’s defiantly got the fawn/dun color for his tail and hackles but his base color is very light and his back appears to be a mix of red and buff.
Honestly I cannot narrow him down to a specific breed color. He looks like he could be a color mix or a poorly bred lemon blue. Even that’s a stretch tho.
Was he a show bird?
Did the original owners not know his colors?
View attachment 1506258 I was at a fair and bought this bird , was told it was an Old English Game Bantam . Can anyone confirm this if so what color ? That cage was just to bring him home in he is in a pen now .
depending on the seller he might not be happy to see that they separated. I sacrificed my hens so the roosters don't go to a bad home but it looks like you are giving him a good one. Others let hens go with a rooster if they grew up together/bonded. But anyway not everyone can keep a rooster so its something we all will need to keep in mind when we sell them. Agree he looks some type of fawn but not sure on the color, pretty birdI bought him of a girl that bought him from someone else there as a pair but only wanted the hen . I only paid $10 for him . There is a poultry show in October at the same spot , hopefully I can run into her and see who she originally bought him from to find out more
I don’t think she was supposed to separate them , but it is what it is . I’m looking into getting a few more to start my own little program , any suggestionsdepending on the seller he might not be happy to see that they separated.
