First off I was told she was an OEGB and it appears so, but you never know so I come to the experts.
here she is,
a Wheaten OEGB hen.
One of her eggs,
she has pinkish/red combs/wattles/ear lobes and a four toes on each foot. that is if you count the little toe on the back. if not three. she is sweet and tame and we will keep her either way, but we would like to know.
second question,
She has come out of quarantine and her legs look a lot better than in the pic above. she is in the new coop getting used to the hens. my main concern is this.
I have a big RIR roo, he can be protective. he is not in the coop currently, frankly I am scared to put him in there. because his measures about. 1.6 feet tall if I had to guess, and she is like 5 inches tall, and well can OEGB cross with standards ? will he mate with her ? if he does mate with her with he crush her into a "pancake" ? You might see my concern.
