Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Blackout listened as the human introduced herself in Dragonese, flicking an ear back in light surprise. He hadn't encountered many humans outside the Den that knew any Dragonese.
As he listened more, it seemed that the small human was telling- Whitestar apparently- something he wanted to hear. Something about an orange ring in her eye?
He thought back to the eyes he had looked into during the battle. They were not ringed with orange... no. They were more of a shining deep periwinkle.
"She's a close friend of mine." Whitestar was speaking to him now, and Blackout's attention snapped back to the Icewing, dragging his thoughts away from the strange Lunarwing he had fought. The way that Whitestar had hesitated before saying 'close friend'....
"I'm not sure who it was that she was with." Blackout responded to Whitestar's query slowly. He looked at the Icewing, and for some reason understood a thought that neither of them spoke aloud.
"She was much smaller, and didn't look much like- Eclipse, you said?" Blackout hoped that Whitestar had caught the word 'she'.
Blackout looked back at the little human, who, though he wasn't a human, he had spent enough time around them to know some of their expressions.
The best way to describe this look was one of mischief.
Blackout smirked in amusement. The determination the human had was evident on her face, and made him want to laugh.
He nudged Whitestar, snorting lightly.
"Look at that. Looks like she's got an idea... from experience when they look like that, there's always something going on in their heads!" He chuckled. He wished again he knew more Human. He had never needed to, because in the Den while being trained and ridden, most of the humans had known Dragonese and been fluent in it.
Listening intently to the conversation, Alyssia tried to understand everything they were saying. She caught him talking about a smaller dragon. The other lunarwing. she thought, happy that she was able to put it together. She saw the nightwing look at her, their eyes meeting. She saw him grin and realized she was still wearing hers. The grin was a side effect of what her mind was spinning subconsciously. Her plan. She caught the nightwing saying something about an idea, experience, and in heads. The dragon chuckled and continued looking at her. He seemed to be talking to Whitestar about her. Do I really look that funny to them? She brushed it aside and looked the nightwing squarely in the eyes, her sea blue gaze piercing. She raised an eyebrow and the grin returned. "So, you from Scorpion Den?"

Sunspot, Crest, and Neoma are all in the same truckyard
Gotcha!
Didn't Helios steal some keys from the neck of the dead Nightwing leader?
Yep! Don’t worry that hasn’t left my mind lol
Dred is your dragon, right? You could probably rp the next scene with Eclipse, Shrike, Kapok, Sol and Tobias
Yes!
Crest's eyes shot open as he heard movement in the other cage. Turning his head slightly towards the noise, he noticed that it was King Helios' cage. He watched silently as the giant dragon tried to force his way out of the cage. He watched as the king slashed at the cage with no luck. Interesting, he can't use his flame on the cage....I wonder what they could've done to him. He continued to watch then as the giant dragon finally ceased and looked around the room. Crest tried to move, the pain from his injuries feeling better than the day before. The rebellious way he had acted the first day he had been there had given him several rounds of punishment. He assumed that was why he hadn't been auctioned off yet. Not completely healed from all of his injuries, nobody would buy a dragon at half capacity. He continued to stare in the direction of King Helios and tried to stand in his cage. His wings had gotten used to the feeling of being cramped and his mouth to the cold metal of the muzzle. His legs wobbled slightly, but forcing himself up, he stretched and began to move his aching muscles as much as possible. The humans will be here soon to check up on me.
Helios nodded back to Neoma, glancing at Sunspot and continuing to search the room. A Seawing stood in his cage looking at him curiously. “Hey, Seawing. How far into the Den are we?” He asked the Seawing slowly and calmly, trying to make no more enemies then he had already.
I am really starting to love Neoma lol. Also, Eclipse and Sol are in Tobias' lot in "the maze" under the den, they aren't near Neoma and the others. Was this before they were moved to Tobias' lot?
And before Helios woke then, cuz I would’ve rped him with Sol if he was around.

Whitestar let out a long slow breath, relief seeping into his scales. He felt silly, thinking Eclipse would find a different dragon just because they weren't the same tribe. Perhaps that was the reason she had been traveling with the other Lunarwing since she had mentioned how her tribe was so rare. She was probably protecting the other dragon out of loyalty to what little was left of her tribe. Blackout seemed to have understood the unspoken worry and Whitestar made a mental note to be more contained about the matter. The Nightwing gave him a playful nudge, jolting him out of his thoughts, and Whitestar flinched, his spines rising again in discomfort. He pulled his wings in instinctively at Blackout's touch, feeling a little awkward, and glanced at Alyssia. The human seemed to be sharing a moment with the Nightwing, the two of them exchanging a long, knowing look.
Could she really have a plan to help save Eclipse? He thought, looking the little creature over. She didn't look like much, and he wondered if it was actually possible for her to fully understand the situation. But Blackout seemed to believe she could, and maybe, with their help, the three of them could actually pull this off. It is going to take a miracle, he thought with a long sigh before turning back to Blackout.
"You said you are from the Scorpion Den? Do you know where the Lunarwings are? Is there a way to get in?"

Gotcha!

Yes!

Crest looked curiously at the at the solarwing. He was getting spoken to by the king of the solarwings. He composed himself and slowly bowed to the king. Well, as much as he could in his cramped cage. Everything around him began to twist and turn for a second and he shook his head to clear his vision. I need water...and soon. His head finally registered what the king had said to him. He went to answer but felt the cold steel against his mouth. With teeth clenched, he tried to mutter back to the giant dragon. "I'm not sure how far we are. But, I do know that we are near the place where they auction off dragons and have them face off against each other, your Majesty." He hoped the king could understand what he was saying. Barely moving your mouth creates interesting sounding dragonese, but he hoped it would work.

Blackout noticed Whitestar's discomfort.
Oops... He thought sheepishly. Mental note; no touchie on the cold dragon.
Blackout heard Whitestar speaking again and realized it was to him.
"Huh? Ohhh-" He thought hard. "Well, yes I am. I was hatched and raised there."
He thought some more.
"Uhhh.... I really can't say exactly where the Lunarwings would be..." He said awkwardly.
"We really haven't had any in there before. There's been precautions taken just in case we found them, but these are kinda the first we've had. I mean- they. These Lunarwings are the first they have had in there."
It would take him a bit to get out of the group mentality, and he shook himself slightly.
"There are a lot of ways to get in, but all of them are really dangerous. It's not going to do us any good to get in there and not be able to get out with the others."
Blackout blinked at his own words. He was already including himself in the plans. Huh.
But it felt refreshing to be doing something for a good reason rather than for a vile master such as his higher-ups. Specifically Bonereader....
The thought of the awful older dragon made him shudder.
She had been one of the leaders of their little escapade that resulted in Blackout's escape. The one good thing to come out of her actions; ironic.
"I bet the Lunarwings will be in or close to Tobias's section of the lots. He takes good care of his dragons, and a lot of them get taken to his section in the beginning. I'd bet anything that one or both of them are with them."
He hoped that they were all together. Spread apart, it would be harder to get them all out.
"I can try to think of some good ways in. And speaking of in, I'm in."
Blackout smiled inwardly happily. His words came out good this time. He sounded confident and willing. And he felt that way. For the first time in ages, he felt confident.

Alyssia was getting frustrated with the fact that she couldn't speak dragon fluently. What she would give for a translator right now. Or even one of her Dragonese to English dictionaries. She went through the words in her head one more time and was fairly certain that she had the gist of what Blackout was saying. Her mind was whirling now. What if we...no....how about....no that wouldn't work. Her mind landed on something that she had noticed during her short stay there. When she was brought through that room of all those fancy people. The ones waiting for something. Doing double time, her brain was trying to figure out the purpose of that den. Many rich people. Dragons trapped in cages. All these people gathered in a room. Wait, what did that person say? Something about Queen Cirrus buying something? Realization suddenly struck her and she had to confirm. She looked back at Blackout. "Blackout, Scorpion Den, what is purpose?"

I'll let nikki reply with whitestar's perspective before I do Blackouts, so we get a full scene here! also, expect the unexpected in Blackout's next part!
I'm going to assume Bamboo and Apple have been approved... Idk tho, so I will wait before rping them immediately. So I'll be speaking of them only from Blackouts position and not from their perspective until they are approved. Hope that makes sense to y'all!

Whitestar noticed a bit of a growth in the Nightwing's confidence, and he was somewhat relieved that the dragon could actually speak outside of the overly informative rambling. He seemed decent for a dragon raised in such a harsh place, and Whitestar was pleased to see the young dragon was willing to help recuse others. Even though they were all different tribes and none of them were exactly the same, they were all dragons. Blackout seemed to understand that as much as Whitestar did. The Nightwing also had a vague idea of where Eclipse and the other Lunarwing might be and Alyssia too seemed to be getting an idea of the place. He wished it were easier for her to communicate with them.
Maybe I could just ench-
Whitestar stopped himself. No, not here. Not around others. Emergencies only. He waited for Alyssia to ask Blackout her question before chiming in. "You were there for a while--do you understand any English?"

Kapok paced forward and bent his head toward Sol. At first, seeing the dragon had brought with it a bit of a grudge. His scales still stung from the Solarwings fire, and it was an experience he would never be able to forget and hoped never to endure again. But now, the champion looked all but defeated, and Tobias seemed as mentally battered as his dragon. Kapok couldn't help but feel bad for the both of them.
He turned and bounded toward the mysterious boxes again. He had grown fond of the chilly food storages since Tobias had been gone, and they had become to him almost like mystery boxes. Sometimes, the meat he pulled out was practically worthless, and he had begun mounting a small pile of it in the corner before Shrike mentioned it would thaw and begin to stink unless he put it back. It was always a bit of an adventure rummaging through the cold boxes to find "the good stuff" as Tobias had put it. He dragged a large frozen chunk out of the freezer and padded awkwardly to the other side of the lot, the meat hanging uncomfortably from the side of his mouth.
He dropped it in front of the new cage and glanced at Tobias expectantly.

@Blue Raptor could you rp Shrike a little bit
@_-Captain BRM-_ I'm gonna write Eclipse's part real quick before you do Tobias again so hang on a sec
Eclipse peeked an eye out from behind her wing, blinking sleep away at the sound of the humans voice. He apparently could also speak dragon, even better than the human Eclipse had met in the desert. She glanced up to see who he was talking to. The new room they were in was large and secure, with more of the bright white lights embedded in the ceiling. There were four other cages in the room. Two of them were open and empty and another had a large grey Mudwing curled inside. A small Cloudwing was watching the scene skeptically from across the room, and a large brown Leafwing bounded clumsily across the space with a large chunk of frozen meat hanging from his jaws.
The last cage was open as well, but the dragon still lay inside. Eclipse lifted her head in shock when she recognize the bright red scales of Sol. The Solarwing looked horrible. A large wound was torn in the side of his leg, neatly stitched together with tough black thread, and there was a long slice torn in the membrane on his wing. The Leafwing dropped the meat beside her and then turned toward Sol's human, who was kneeling in the cage with the red dragon, his head rested on Sol's neck.
Eclipse glanced at the food sitting on the ground outside her cage and felt her stomach growl. In the stress of her first day in the Den, she had completely forgotten to even feel hungry. She reached a talon through the bars and clawed at the solid meat, managing to pull off a small strip of the frozen flesh. But as she pulled it into the cage with her, she remembered with a dejected huff that she couldn't eat because of the vibrating band closed over her snout, and she sighed, glancing back at Sol's human.
