Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Eclipse wasn't sure what to do. The situation only seemed to be escalating more, and whatever variables led to this sudden turn of events was way over her head. The chat device had obviously been important, and the "guns" seemed to be more dangerous to humans than she had previously thought. She still couldn't tell if the other dragon was a Leafwing or a Rainwing, though judging by what this new human had said, potentially both? Apparently, other humans couldn't just walk into Tobias' lot, which was both comforting and disturbing. Comforting in the sense that no random human could come in and stare and point and prod at her, disturbing to think how this one somehow had gotten in when he wasn't supposed to. She watched Tobias order the two into Shrike's cage and then slowly turned her head back toward the door.
It was wide open.
She glanced back at Tobias, and then again to the door almost afraid that if she blinked it would go away. She knew she could probably just leave. Not exactly that simple, but Tobias might not have enough time to react and stop her. He was preoccupied with the strange newcomers, but his gun was already drawn. There was no saying she could get out without a shot or two if Tobias even had the nerve to fire at her. And even if she did get out--then what? She had no idea where she was or which way was out. Out of the building and then out of the Scorpion Den. The humans would be pursuing her the whole way and eventually, the hunters would be alert to her escape as well. She couldn't fly and she would be exposed either way--in the sky or in the streets.
She glanced over her shoulder at Sol guiltily. He had risked so much to bring her here to Tobias. If she managed to escape this way anyway, it would still be thanks to him. What would he say if he woke up and she was gone? What would either of them say--Tobias and Sol-- if she didn't? If she couldn't escape and ended up back here in the end? Break the human's trust and ignore Sol's sacrifice, possibly in vain? Or if she died trying?
But what if this is my only chance? She thought, staring at the doorway again.
These thoughts warred in her head like a storm as she slowly sat back down on the floor and curled her tail tightly around her talons, her eyes locked on the open door.
She didn't move.
Tobias shut the cage door. "Watch him." He nodded to Eclipse as he slowly backed towards Sol, grabbing his bag through the thick bars. He pulled the work phone out, scrolling through the contacts.
A moment later, the phone was dialing. He paced beside Sol's cage, running his free hand across the bars.
Roe picked up.
And it was loud.
"Hey. Shoot, you good?"
"August- yes. We are having difficulties in the arena." Roe panted, loud shouting in the background.
"Goodness, you need help?
"It will be fine."
"Maybe this isn't a good time.."
"Perhaps..." Roe shouted something, then returned to their conversation, "It is okay. We are safe. What did you need?"
The loud noises had suddenly died down, Roe's heavy breathing replacing the shouts.
"Um... Can you.. come here? To the lot? I... need your opinion."
"Yes, yes." Roe answered immediately. "Yes, I will be there."
"Thanks."
"Of course. Good-bye."
She hung up, and Tobias sighed heavily, walking over to Nic and the dragon.

Nic smiled. "Thank you very much. Do you have any water?"

Eclipse tensed, frozen in place as she watched the interaction between the two humans. She didn't understand anything they were saying, but the tone in Tobias' voice sounded threatening. She stood up slowly, the spines on her back rising as she tensely paced forward to stand behind Tobias. She glanced at Shrike, Kapok, and the Mudwing expectantly before lowering her head to Tobias' level.
"If they attack us, there isn't much I can do. That dragon--I don't know if it's a Leafwing or Rainwing--he could have venom, and my warping is practically useless." She murmured, quiet enough so the other two couldn't hear.
Dred stood and inched closer to Eclipse, ready to take on the odd Rain/leaf hybrid or it’s owner. They did seem sketchy, but what they talked of made Dred hope they were truthful.
Crest shut his eyes tight and felt a pain stab at his heart. They could have easily found her again. She probably didn't make it. He fought back a tear as the image of his sister came to mind. I tried, Minami...I'm sorry. I couldn't save her either. He shook his head, pushing the thoughts back. Crest, this is no time to be getting sentimental. For all you know, she could have survived. But, you're not gonna do any good for her in here. You have to figure out how to get out of this place. His vision clouded, not as bad as before, but it still clouded some. That water was not enough for me. He looked around and swallowed hard. "Gosh it's hot out here," he mumbled to himself. He could already feel the water that he had drunk getting seeped away from the heat in the air. Forcing his vision to focus, he looked up at the king again. "No...no it's not your fault, Highness." He forced a small smile, "Thank you for the information that you did give."
He sighed, pushing all the thoughts of the girl and Minami from his mind. "So, Your Highness, do you have any kind of plan of how to get out of here?"
Helios was silent for a second, the question made him think hard. He looked around and sighed, his face scrunching up at a weird metallic taste in his mouth. Even the air here tastes of human garbage.
Helios didn’t know how, but he knew he’d had some sort of plan before blacking out. But now it was escaping him. He went through the battle in his head again. The attack, the nightwings, DeathSeeker being killed by his own leader….the leader…
The keys!
He went still, praying that it was still there and unmelted. He worked a lump of metal out of under his tongue, feeling the outline of the ring of keys and suddenly being filled with a small amount of hope. “Yes!” He almost shouted, but stopped himself. “I stole these…” he told the Seawing, sticking out his tongue (which looked rather undignified as a king) and showing him the keys before hiding them again. The humans had given him a drug to dampen his flames. Little did they know that they had just given him the thing he needed to escape.
And they. Would be. Sorry.

Roe tried to hurry, Wanda, Jyn, and Qi'ra following closely behind.
Once they were through the crowd, it was A LOT easier to quicken their pace.
"Stay close. Are you alright, Jyn?" Roe asked.
Jyn nodded. "I froze up."
"What was that?" Qi'ra wondered quietly.
Roe shook her head, "We will learn soon enough. Tobias has a LunarWing."
"Oh, cool!" Qi'ra breathed. "But that one is good?"
"She isn't bad." Roe told them. "She's scared."
"No doubt." Wands growled.

Nic smiled as he waited, he pulled out his knife and ran the blade across his trousers. Sheathed it, and waited some more. @_-Captain BRM-_

Crest watched confused as the king went silent and seemed to be moving his tongue around in his mouth. "Yes! I stole these..." he said. Crest was surprised to see the large solarwing king stick out his tongue, but he was even more surprised to see the keys sitting on his tongue. Wait, how are they not melted. Crest thought. Suddenly realization dawned on him. They must've drugged him. Hope began to swell in Crest as he thought what this meant. We could actually get out of this place. Then I can return home where humans live much better than this. He grinned at the king. "You know, this gives us a very large advantage against these people." He lowered his voice and leaned closer to the king's cage, "We could potentially escape." He thought for a second and rephrased his sentence, "No, we will escape." Determination in his aqua eyes, he looked into the king's eyes with reassurance. With hope reignited, he was ready to get out and find the human girl and get back to the ocean.
Thinking about the humans in the Scorpion Den, his curiosity was peaked about the rest of the humans in this world. Apparently the humans in his kingdom were very different from this group of humans. "So, Your Majesty, are all the humans on the rest of this continent like this?"

Bloodmoon sobbed, yes, sobbed. For the first time since he could remember. He needed to do something. Hold on, could the venom go onto the bars? He tried to rub his tail against the bars. Didn't work, it had already absorbed into his scales. His owner came to the bars to feed him, in the few seconds the cage was open, Bloodmoon shoved his talon in the crack. His owner screamed and pulled out his gun. He fired and Bloomoon felt a sting in his neck, Blood caught him in his mouth and shook him till he heard a tinkling sound hitting the floor. Bloodmoon tossed his owner in the cage and slammed it. He punched n the code to lock it- 81205, or HATE. then grabbed the keys in his mouth. Where would he go? The Lunarwing. I'll go there. He snuck to the Lunarwing's area and knocked with his talon. Come on, come on. He looked around nervously. Please let her be here...
