Yah, I'll do something, but it's going to tie into other stuff that will occur right before the breakout. It seems we're done anyways with this scene, which is fine by me. But the longer we wait... my excitement for jailbreak is dying along with our filler plot. Are you gonna RP Tobias and or Sol again or are we waiting for something? Idk what the plan is as of now.
Yeah, I will try to nudge the oasis group along. Ima go back and see what needs to happen nextYah, I'll do something, but it's going to tie into other stuff that will occur right before the breakout. Whitestar lept gracefully over a thick clump of brush, landing in the sand that surrounded the oasis pool. He glanced around the clearing, spotting the hunter awake and kneeling beside the water.Austin stared up into the sky. Light colors painted the sky as the sun began to rise. Finally. He hadn't slept hardly at all during that night. He lay there, acting as if he were asleep and he got a little sleep, but for the remainder of the night, he lay there pondering. He thought about his escape plan, thought about what they could be doing here, and even thought about what people could be doing back at the Scorpion Den. One thought kept trying to come back that he kept pushing away. The girl. Alyssia. Why do I keep thinking about her! Ugh! I'm not supposed to feel bad about this. He sat up, frustrated at his brain and had a look around. Apple had been relieved from watch duty halfway through the night, and Austin assumed that Blackout had taken her place. Alyssia was still sleeping by the oasis pool and Bamboo and Apple were resting just a little further away. Whitestar was nowhere in sight, but Austin wasn't concerned about him. He took another long look around, trying to spot any glimpse of the black dragon. Curse you Blackout.
His legs yelled at him as he began to stand up, but he ignored it. He stretched himself out and started walking around the oasis, still keeping a lookout for Blackout. The pool water reflected his worn face back at him, the water rippling slightly as the breeze swept through. His hazel eyes stared back at him as he splashed water onto his face, the coldness sending shock through his tired body and waking him up. He sat there for a little longer, taking in the morning weather. A bird squealed in the background and Austin jumped slightly and turned towards the noise. Now that's what I call an alarm clock.
Crest felt his fangs sink in and the warm blood seeping through the wounds he had created in the large dragon. Satisfaction shone in his eyes, and vengeance seeped through his slight smile. For just that brief moment, he believed he was going to get his vengeance, but the reactions of the nigthwing were quick and Crest was thrown hard onto the ground. His head slammed the ground again and the nightwing flickered into a giant orange dragon for a split second and his world blacked out again. Then, the sight came flooding back a second later and Crest rolled onto his feet, giving the dragon an angry look. The dragon seemed to put its claw on its throat and the wound sealed. Wait, what? Nightwings can't do that?Helios felt fangs sink into his throat, he felt them pierce his scales and drive through his flesh with strength that the Seawing didn’t seem to have a moment ago, but now was full of.
If he had waited a moment longer to roll over and smash the dragon into the ground, he would have been dead, his throat crushed. But he hadn't waited, and the Seawing hit the ground with a loud thud. Helios immediately scrambled back, clutching his throat with his wing finger and watching Crest in disbelief, but as he looked into his eyes, the king realized it was like looking into nothingness.
Crest was gone. Insanity had taken over.
Lack of water had finally driven him to the end of his rope. Crest watched him with a bloodthirsty look, and Helios knew he wasn’t going to be faking it anymore.
Helios heated his left talon up until it was searing hot, then lifted it up and, balancing on one leg, he burned the wound shut. The fireproof scales didn’t react, but the blood began to boil and then burn, and the wound was closed together by the fire. It smelled of burning flesh. But he couldn’t keep losing blood. It was already smeared across his whole upper body and the amount that had drained from him in that little time had him concerned. “This isn’t your fault, Crest. I know it’s not you….it’s the humans.” He said angrily, turning his gaze to the crowd, he spotted a young girl and made brief eye contact, his breathing shallow and ragged. Then his attention went back to the arena, Crest, the fight.
The Seawing lunged forward and so did he, at the last moment sweeping his wings together and creating a shield around himself, heat again wafting off of him. Even an insane dragon knew not to burn themselves.
This is GOLDCrest felt his fangs sink in and the warm blood seeping through the wounds he had created in the large dragon. Satisfaction shone in his eyes, and vengeance seeped through his slight smile. For just that brief moment, he believed he was going to get his vengeance, but the reactions of the nigthwing were quick and Crest was thrown hard onto the ground. Nightwings can't do that?
"This isn't your fault, Crest. I know it's not you...it's the humans." A confused look crossed Crest's face, but soon the confusion was replaced by annoyance. He growled again and braced for another strike. His blood boiled and he wanted nothing more than to rip this dragon apart. He leapt at the dragon, but the nightwing seemed to recoil and pull its wings together. Alright fine, I'll rip through those first. He extended his claws for the attack, but was met with a wave of heat that seemed to repel every fiber of him. The heat stung. It sucked life from him, but he ignored it. He could hardly feel it. The anger and vicious hate still lived in his eyes and he reached out to grab the wings. A burning sensation flew through his arms and he cried in pain, dropping to the ground from his attack. He hissed and spun back onto his feet, favoring his back ones. Though, as he stood closer to the dragon and the heat, he noticed that the pain seemed to be slipping....or numbing. He didn't care.
"Yeah! Blame someone else for the murderous creature you are, you scaly piece of garbage!" he yelled at the nightwing. He crouched again and leapt at the nightwing, knowing full well that the wings were still heated. His claws stung again as he tried to rip through the wings. He jumped back and fell to the ground again, the pain becoming too much. The heat was sending his mind into a frenzy, each attack sending him spiraling further and further into the darkness. He lay on the ground again with his burning claws and looked back at the corpse of Minami. The motionless lips still seemed to be calling his name and he heard the call in his mind. Anger again seeped through him and he didn't even feel himself get up and look back at the dragon.
Finally it registered and he screamed at the dragon, the emotion ringing through the air. He leapt at the wings again. Burning pain and the smell of burning flesh wafted through the air. He couldn't stop. This dragon will DIE!
