Coffee is here and we are having light rain and dark cloudy sky.

I still not any idea what animals ate all my sweet potato/turmeric/ginger leaf. Grrrrr

If you recall, I've had my flock on lockdown since the hawk attack last week. Yesterday when I went in the run to clean the waterer, the door was a bit ajar and Rocky, my black Ameraucana cockerel ran out. I went out and tried to grab him leaving the door open even wider and out spilled the rest of them! Oh well.

When I went inside the coop to clean the boards, I could see them running and flapping all around the front of the run. They were acting like they broke out of jail and were hitting the town and partying hard. My older hens were far more dignified.

The township meeting was a huge relief. The letters we'd received made it sound like there was some shenanigans going on, but that was not the case. The wording of the letters was legalese and opaque; the board was much more transparent and explained things MUCH better. Whew.

DH is smoking some pork chops and I have rolled in from taking DAF to a doc appt.
The weather is beautiful!
This weekend is a get stuff done before the snow decides to really stay for awhile, hopefully after the T-day travel week for most people.

Good Morning

Tea is served, coffee done and dusted at 5am already. We had rain all day yesterday and thunder and down pouring rain last night. No rain at the moment, but the sky is cloudy and a bit muddy in the air, more rain is coming.

I am neutral about about the rain these last few days, but I will be on the downside if it continues.

Sometimes this year, I got addicted to eating that beautiful 100% purple colour Hawaiian sweet potatoes. The recent one I got are not purple, but only 10% light purple and texture is watery, not firm like the 100% purple one. I asked the shop keeper and they told me it must be cross pollination.e.tc.. I am super disappointed, now I must grow my own.

First I must find a true Hawaiian sweet potatoes..if there is any left out there, then grow it in my garden bed and protect it in such a way that whatever has been eating my other sweet potatoes will not eat this one.
What does one need to do to get a decent purple sweet potatoes these days? High fence, rat/possums proof!

My haircut came out great! My hair hasn't been this long in over 3 decades so I was a little wriggly when I saw her chopping away at it. I wanted no more than 1" off the length and for her to even up my choppy, self made layers. She did a great job.

My hairdresser has been a friend of mine for at least 17 years. We have been texting about getting together with another of our mutual friends to catch up for the longest time. I proposed we go to the Endicott mansion Sip & Shop. They serve wine while you wander around the gorgeous old mansion with many vendors set up selling crafts and whatnot for the holidays. It's a date!

That sounds like a great time! I love seeing handmade stuff. I'd skip the wine, but love to wander around and look.
