Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

(I love that, it's like what I said about them earlier. I absolutely love, love, LOVE their dynamic.)

Eclipse finished wrapping the Hivewings shoulder and stepped back, gesturing the Seawing forward.
"Nothing I can think of," she replied to Sunspot. "If you need to rest, now would be a good time to do it, just in case things don't go smoothly later into the morning."
She glanced up at the Solarwing, somewhat grateful for the extra light her scales gave off, however dim. The mixture of Eclipse's own light with hers made it easier to see the Seawing's wounded ear.

Gables shifted Tobias over so Rose could reach him better through the bars. Tobias inhaled sharply, lifting his head off Gables shoulder as he awoke, but Gables still held Tobias against himself, forcing Tobe to resume his previous position. The heat radiating off of Tobias' slick forehead was quite shocking, an intense contrast to his freezing arm, the ice creeping up to his shoulder.
"I don't- I don't know." Gables started, hesitant to move Tobias any more than necessary. "You're bags? I didn't see them. But Ferrin says we're getting out of here tonight. That might... might be enough time." He brushed his right hand over the ever-darkening skin with a gentle touch, his left arm still wrapped tightly around Tobias' torso. It was freezing. Tobias twitched, his shoulders tensing, then shook his head. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he breathed through a soft whisper.
Gables glanced at Rose. "So, if he has feeling in it that's good, right? Right?"
Fracture gave her signature sigh, watching Rose with a critical eye.
Rose kept quite, focusing on her energy and keeping herself from fainting due to pain. Few times in her life had she felt pain like this.
She lifted the shirt up with her talons and examined his skin. It was deep blue and white by now, starburst patterns erupting like frost on a window, only much more morbid. “Possibly, or it’s the nerves around it dying. Ferrin can you not risk getting one thing out of my medical pouch? Fireweed extract would cure him for sure.”
She asked, watching his face for an answer. “There’s only one other thing I can think of…but I haven’t tried it in years. It hurts….a lot, for both of us I’d imagine.”
(Should she be able to breath a small amount of fire due to being part nightwing? I was thinking she never uses it unless absolutely necessary like this situation, because it burns the inside of her mouth due to being more leafwing then not. ????)

“Wow, a new species?” Phoenix asked. “Or, more like a legend come true I guess?” She wrinkled her nose, thinking. “I think Knight is a wonderful name,” she smiled.
“I’d imagine they always existed, just very skilled at hiding it…” he said softly. The way she wrinkled up her nose and smiled so softly…it made King want to be around her for as long as he could. But the moment was lost when the most enormous pair of wings shadowed them from above. A huge dragon with cream and brown feathers and giant talons landed right in front of them. A pattern of feathers around his eyes and down his neck resembling a mask, and another looping under his beak and down his chest like a necklace made of fine brown feathers, made him look like a king. His yellow eyes scanned over the two of them and the young dragonet and he made a quizzical face at King.
“Hey Osprey, good to see you.” King greeted with a smile, reaching out and shaking his talon firmly.
“Hello, King. And….who might this be?” Osprey asked, looking at Phoenix.
“This is Phoenix, me and the team found her and another Cloudwing, Corvus, out by the compound we raided a couple days back. They’d been living there for a couple years.” He answered, and the old Cloudwing extended a huge talon toward her in a friendly manner. “Hello, I’m Osprey. Leader of the Grebes Nest.”

Ferrin's gone, my dude, he left for the Rally. Still has an identity to maintain. It's okay, though. She can be talking to Gables instead.

That is actually a really neat sacrifice play. I'm down. I'll write my part when the stupid high pm calms down ;)

“Mmm, maybe,” Sunspot said. She moved to lay down near a wall, but didn’t sleep. Instead she watched the dragons around her murdering quietly to one another, brushing wings, twining tails….

She sighed. She’d never had any urge to be close to anyone, but now, even surrounded by other dragons, she felt so alone.

MAN I LOVE THIS RP SO MUCH. THE WRITING, THE CHARACTERS, THE LITTLE INTERACTIONS. THREE MOONS.

Phoenix jumped as the huge shadow passed over her, shrinking into her wings a little as a massive CloudWing landed. He was regal and carried an air of authority to him. As he extended a talon in greeting, Phoenix felt frozen. Again. She found herself hanging back behind King, squeaking out a soft “hi.”

Instantly she flared at herself inwardly. Why did she always have to act so stupid?

She had single handed ot made the entire situation painfully awkward. She forced herself to step forward, taking a deep breath.

“Hi,” she tried again, her voice still sounding stupid and quivery. “I’m Phoenix.”
