Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Alicanto rolled his eyes.
"Well technically," he started, a touch of annoyance edging his light tone. "You swore to obey my every command if I allowed you to ask Tobias your question." He tilted his head sideways slightly, giving her a cocky look from the corner of his eyes.
"So, Rainwing, I hereby command you to tell me who Roe is." He paused a moment.
"Oh yeah, and it might be easier if I caught your name," Alicanto added with a shrug

Flying next to the RainWing and Alicanto, Ajax listened intently.
How in the world was Alicanto so much better at striking up a simple conversation? Ajax couldn’t seem to do it easily. He didn’t know if it was just because he’d rather communicate with violence or because of how he was trained.
Oh well, Ajax thought. Not like I’ll ever need to “make friends”. I won’t really need social skills.

The large truck waited patiently, empty save the coolers lining the right side of the transport, full of food, medical supplies, and plenty of fresh water.
Kal led the way, leaping into the trailer.

Sol pushed past Hibiscus and Cas as Kassa reached the back of the trailer with Tobias. Wordlessly joining Kal in the trailer, Sol reached down for Tobias, taking the man into his wing.
Tobias fumbled, trying to stand, but Sol pulled him closer, half dragging the human to the back of the trailer. He stopped, slowly lowering Tobias against the ground, helping prop the man's back against the wall as the other dragons entered the trailer.
Tobias kept his eyes closed tightly, still holding his arm against his rib cage.
Sol lowered his head down to the man's level. "Tobe?" Receiving no response, Sol gently nudged the man with his nose. Tobias leaned against him, and Sol closed his eyes. "Please tell me you're okay."
"I'm okay." Tobias whispered, and Sol lowered himself to the ground beside the man, gently resting his head against Tobias' thigh.
"Are you tired?" Sol asked quietly, watching Kassa and Kal make room as Jun leapt into the trailer.
"Very." Tobias replied.
"Sleep, Tobe. Your safe. Sleep."
After a moment Sol felt Tobias relax, and the dragon sighed, finally blessed with contentment.
Cas, feeling restless again, paced up to Kal and Kassa after watching Sol and Tobias for a moment. “So who even is that scavenger anyway?” He asked, “and why does Sol like him so much? That doesn’t make much sense.” He cocked his head.

Vel looked away.
"Roe's a human. She led the rebellion. I'm Vel."
She gave a heavy sigh, her eyes scanning the freeway below.

"Facts, bro." Kassa leaned against the wall, settling down against the cool metal beneath. "It's because they work together. Like- for years they've been a thing, so they, yah know, get along and stuff. Real good friends."
Kal smirked glancing at Sol.
"Not even close." The red dragon mumbled, still resting against Tobias.
Kassa shrugged. "Sounded probable." He turned his gaze back to Cas. "So, what about you, though? Where you from, dude? Prolly somewhere rreeeaalllyy sikk, eh?"

Alicanto finally turned his head to look at the Rainwing for a moment before turning his attention back to the snaking roads beneath them.
"Well, I'm not as oblivious as you think," he said, glancing back at the city quickly approaching in the distance.
"She was obviously more to you than just the leader of the rebellion." He watched Vel expectantly from a sideways glance.

"Well. She was a crazy crack-head, always doing dumb, impulsive things- that's why she saved me, obviously. She saved a lot of dragons. Half of us would be dead without her. The other half would have turned into monsters. Like you."
