Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Shard bounded excitedly beside Sunspot, flitting her wings to try and wave off some of the heat emitting from the Solarwing's scales.
"Eclipse isn't back yet," she murmured, glancing out toward the rolling desert. The horizon was painted a pale gray as dawn began to creep over the continent.
The Icewing fidgeted with her razor claws for a moment. "She told me to go on the truck, but I want to wait for her." Shard turned her piercing dark blue gaze on Sunspot. "Are you gonna wait for her? Should I wait for her?"

@-Kiwi-
(Yeah, I think I will wait to RP Eclipse until Ace drops in or she actually makes it to the cavern, because there's not gonna be much except walking through the desert, lol)
“Uh-“

Sunspot paused, swishing her tail. “I don’t know kid, if she told you to go I think you should. It’s dangerous to stay. But I think Im going to try to find her.”

She glanced down. Shard was so small. What if another dragon hurt her?

“Can you fly?” She asked.

"Well. She was a crazy crack-head, always doing dumb, impulsive things- that's why she saved me, obviously. She saved a lot of dragons. Half of us would be dead without her. The other half would have turned into monsters. Like you."
Something about that word cut deep into Alicanto's heart, and he couldn't explain why. Call him insane. Call him stupid. A weapon, a tool, a hunter, ruthless. It was all part of being a mercenary. People hated you on both sides, especially in the Den.
Vel's retort echoed in his mind, yanking at the feelings churning on the other side of his mental wall, once again making the unexplanatory guilt and regret start to pluck at his conscious like cactus thorns.
He kept it all veiled beneath a slightly amused expression, shooting the Rainwing a sly, dark grin.
"Better to be a monster than soft and vulnerable. You're as good as dead if you don't learn to be a little heartless now and then."
He beat his wings a few times to rise above the Rainwing, angling them back slightly to slow and drift behind her before falling back into pace, still positioned above and behind the prisoner.

"I can fly a little bit," she said, watching Sunspot's tail swish through the sand, her eyes widening like a playful cat's.
"But not very far, and my shoulder hurts a lot right now."

"Well, actually, I completely disagree with that outrageously stupid comment." Vel snapped. "But, then again, you are a brain washed idiot controlled by the Scorpion Den, so, like, what's there to fight you on? You're programmed to ignore it." She smirked, trying for a reaction. "But, yuh know, sucks to suck." Vel shrugged, flicking her tongue between his teeth.

Alicanto arched an eyebrow at the Rainwing, fixing Vel with a skeptical look, hiding the rage churning in his veins. He could tell the pale dragon was prodding for a reaction of some sort, and he rolled his eyes again, fixing her with a leveled stare.
"And look at where that got us," he said in a condescending tone, tilting his head. "You are flying to your own certain demise, and I successfully survived and took complete control of a situation that you all obviously started out with the advantage to. I have levels of respect and free will in the Den, and you will ultimately die, imprisoned and looked down on by the entirety of the Den's functions."
He shrugged, a toothy grin spreading on his face, making his teeth glint menacingly.
"That doesn't sound to me like I'm the one who 'sucks'."

Crest had moved from the cave. He watched the prince return with many other dragons and they all looked injured in some way. Dragons and humans began to be moved into transports after a while and Crest decided to stay behind in case he was needed. He was still not in the most ideal condition for helping, but he would never admit it. Eventually, Prince Sol and the others were moved into the transport and he was going to follow, but a solarwing and a small icewing caught his eye. He made his way over to them and overheard some of what they were saying. The solarwing was with the lunarwing when I saw them first. I wonder if the solarwing wants to wait for the lunarwing. He slowly walked to them, "Excuse me, are you two going to get on the transport or is there a problem?"

Vel suppressed a smile.
"Unlike some, I don't stoop down to such a level where I find my security in 'The Den.' I am a free dragon, whether physically imprisoned, or not. Because I don't work for them. I don't kill and destroy the innocent. I- am far from the villain in this story. But you would go as far to suggest the entire Rebellion has villainous intent. Lies. The only villain here is the monster who kills the innocent without thinking, who destroys without hesitation. The entire Den is sick and corrupted, and, though you might think you played your stupid cards right, you're dead wrong."
Vel kept her gaze trained ahead, feeling exposed in the humid air, knowing at any moment the CloudWing could get fed-up with her, and there was nothing she could do about it. She's done the right thing giving herself up for the others. Now to stay away from second guessing herself. Vel held her head high, her gaze cool, condescending.

“Three moons,” Corvus hissed as the creature revealed himself.

And then he bolted. Kicking off the lake pebbles, Corvus shot into the air, black wings pumping. He hoped the creature couldn’t fly.

What does Vulture want with me?

The black CloudWing dove into the trees, weaving between them like he had learned when avoiding hunter patrols.
Half of Sage expected this and half of him was caught off guard. Gripping his chain, he spread his large wings and launched into the air after the cloudwing. The wind messed with his hair, blowing it into his face and giving him a crazier look. Sage's blue eyes narrowed as the cloudwing dove into the trees. He waited, watching the black figure slip in and out of view underneath him. He followed the black fethers from above and kept his hawk-like eyes on the zipping figure. Seeing the pattern in his flying, Sage sped up, his wings sending him shooting forward. His smaller size with the dragon-like wings made him quick and nimble in the air, and he intended to use that.
He eyed a spot in front of what he assumed was the cloudwing's path and tore through the air. Releasing his wings again, he caught himself and slowed down slightly. But he kept enough to make this work. Sage sped through an opening in the trees and used his talons to grip the cloudwings shoulders and dove to the ground. The dirt quickly came up to meet them and Sage rolled over the ground, quickly spinning and getting to his feet and gripping his chain, ready to use.
"We can help you acheive anything, cloudwing. Just name it...."
He locked eyes with the cloudwing. "What do you really want?"
