Lol, that's good. It's over 100 minutes to read the whole thing uninterrupted (I know from the article stats) so it definitely requires dedication.

When Phoenix woke up, Corvus was missing. She assumed he'd gone out to explore, but still, didn't it cross his mind that maybe leaving a living wildfire alone in a safe village wasn't a good idea?
Phoenix stood, stretching and arching her back, and then flexing her wings up and out. No flames for now.

The sun was beginning to rise and dragons began to mill about in the village below. Phoenix watched, scanning the ground as well as the sky for signs of Corvus.

He could see her, probably looking for Corvus by the looks of it. Her fiery aura was almost impossible to mistake and so King aimed downward, diving like a peregrine falcon toward the safe village, which was a skill almost every Cloudwing knew.
He opened his wings and slowed maybe a hundred feet from the ground. Flapping hard as he got even closer and finally landing with a satisfying thud. “Hello! I thought you might be up here.” He said, startling her just a bit.

“We don’t need her to be,” Sunspot said, circling twice and sitting down, flicking her tail to set fire to a clump of moss nearby.

King grinned with guilty pleasure. “Sorrrry, I shouldn’t done that. I just like sneaking up on people, their faces are always soo-…” he stopped as she glared at him and chuckled. “Anyway…where’s Corvus? I wanted to show you two around.” He asked, looking around for a raven-like dragon but spotting only pine and shrubbery near the large camp. Phoenix didn’t seem to know either by the looks of it. “I can help you look around if ya want?”
