Phoenix had been waiting for King to ask her this. He’d been casting curious glances across her feathers the whole flight.King was curious now, like always, his crest raised as he cocked his head slightly, but he realized he might be overwhelming her a bit. “Oh ok I see.” He replied, flying steadily and slowly, his eyes going back to searching for Corvus. They flew for what seemed like ages in the silence but was only a minute or two in reality. He had soooo many questions that he didn’t want to ask, but one was just too much for him to keep in.
“So Phoenix, how did you get your…uh, I guess fire feathers is the best choice of words for it? Did the…uh...Sun give them to you… like the Moons give nightwings powers?” He asked, unsure of how to word it. He knew of Skywings and Solarwings having fiery abilities, and the occasional crazy Animus legends, but never a Cloudwing.
Sunspot rolled her eyes again and followed, flicking her tail at Neoma, secretly hoping she’d follow.Eclipse didn't wait for the Lunarwing to respond to Sunspot, just turned sharply and strode confidently into the tunnel carved in the side of the ominous boulder.
"Move it or lose it!" she barked over her shoulder at the other two.
King facepalmed and laughed out loud, Looking embarrassed. “Ooooh! That makes sense, of course!” He said with a smile. “You definitely look the part of a Cloudwing dragoness, but the fire feathers makes sense now!”Phoenix had been waiting for King to ask her this. He’d been casting curious glances across her feathers the whole flight.
“I’m a hybrid,” she said eventually. “My mother was a SolarWing.”
whoops lol, i must have gotten a lil mixed up after my part XDI actually read the whole part put together and after Neoma went, Sunspot went again, and then Eclipse, so it'd be Neoma's turn again
Neoma watched the other two head for the tunnel. Weighing her options, she saw two main points. 1: Stay and be by herself with injuries that could affect her actions, or 2: follow them and learn more about stuff here...Sunspot rolled her eyes again and followed, flicking her tail at Neoma, secretly hoping she’d follow.
This earned a small smile out of Phoenix. King didn’t seem afraid of her at all. She’d expected a little more terror and screaming and burning houses to be honest.King facepalmed and laughed out loud, Looking embarrassed. “Ooooh! Sunspot grinned at Neoma as she saw the LunarWing struggle to her feet.whoops lol, i must have gotten a lil mixed up after my part XD

Stupid curiosity, She huffed at herself, standing and limping after them into the dark entrance.

King smiled back at her, he hadn’t really stopped smiling. He always loved giving dragons a taste of real freedom, showing them around a place where they could really be at home, but this was different somehow. He angled his wings so he flew closer to her, just slightly. Then he heard a third pair of wings, approaching fast. He turned and saw Corvus. Flying straight at him.Corvus had begun to head back to where Phoenix and him had slept, looking forward to telling Phoenix all about Grebe's Nest. He looped around, the sunrise painting his black feathers with golden rays.
He landed with a thump. "Phoenix!" he said, bounding to where he knew the copper dragon would be.
She was not there.
"Phoenix?" Corvus tried again, his crest raising with slight alarm. She wouldn't have just left.
Corvus rushed back out, leaping into the air. He made wide, looping casts to the left, then to the right, looking anxiously for a glimpse of copper feathers. Suddenly he spotted her.
The fiery CloudWing was flying next to a blue dragon. King.
A twinge of jealousy and anger stabbed through Corvus. Why would she just vanish, especially with a literal stranger?? He narrowed his eyes with a hiss, flying quickly towards the pair.
Sunspot grinned at Neoma as she saw the LunarWing struggle to her feet.
“Let’s goooo,” she said, slipping past Eclipse and leaping into the air impatiently.
Eclipse flinched sideways as Sunspot's scales brushed against hers, half expecting them to be on fire again.Neoma watched the other two head for the tunnel.
