Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

"What are you doing you lunatic?!" Eclipse snarled jerking quickly away from Sunspot to avoid getting singed. "You're going to give us away"
The sudden influx of light stung her eyes and she squinted, diving beneath the flaming dragon so she could see the ground beneath her glare. The Scorpion Den was approaching fast, and now Eclipse was stuck flying in a dark sky with a practical homing beacon.
(I totally missed this I’m sorry I was really tired 😭)

The Darkstalkers teeth loomed ominously in the back of his mind, he had been flying away from them for hours, the deserts sand becoming more and more dry and hot. Just the way Helios liked it.
He stuck close to the canyon walls and cliffs on the edge of the desert for too long, now he was headed into the heart of it all.
The Scorpion Den.
He was certain that was where his son was. Ignis had to be there, and if not at least he could try and find a few other solarwings. One awful thought kept haunting him though, “what if he’s dead. What if they killed him.”

King had fallen asleep, the rays of early sunshine finally awakening him as they crawled across the mountains and into the valley. He groggily opened his eyes and looked around, remembering he’d fallen asleep on the ledge. He had the strangest dream that night and couldn’t stop thinking about it.
A pure white egg sat alone in the hatchery, closed off from the other eggs as it was damaged. Claw marks covered the eggshell and a soft smoky light seemed to pour from the cracks. It illuminated the room it was in until it was so bright King could scarcely see. That’s when he awoke with the sun in his eyes of course.
King flew down the mountainside, the cool air whipping tears to the corner of his eyes. Tall pine trees dotted the landscape which he used as an obstacle course of sorts, dodging and weaving through the shrubbery and foliage. He made it to the lake and flew as close to the edge as possible, skimming the water surface with his wings and spotting several fish. Angling himself perfectly, he dove in and caught several fish at once, which he promptly ate. King was a naturally great fisher.

It happened too fast for her to react. Eclipse felt the force smash into her back and the claws dig into her scales. For one moment there was nothing but wind and floundering wings--hissing and snarling. And then she hit the sand. Her snout ground against the particle-sized blades. Sand scratched up her entire underside, jamming beneath the plate scales on her stomach and skinning the soft flesh on her cheeks.
"MILZA! MILZA YOU'RE DEAD NOW!"
The roar sounded almost in her ear so loud it hurt. She felt the talons release her back and one grabbed her throat, talons curling inward for the kill.
The next moment happened so fast. Eclipse cocked her head back at the dragon on top of her, rage burning through her veins. She couldn't see her face, only the silhouette of her attacker. She could see Sunspot behind her--a flapping mess of flames.
The dragon hesitated.
Mistake Eclipse thought darkly.
She jerked her neck hard out of the dragon's grasp and with a massive heave, she twisted beneath her attacker. The dragon slipped sideways caught unaware, and Eclipse pulled back her hind legs in beneath the dragon's belly and gave a massive kick
Neoma grunted. Another thing to feel sore later- great.
Her mind was still reeling. Milza's eyes were greenish. This couldn't be her- and it couldn't be Darltrax, for one, this one was female. And for another thing, this one was too quick for his sluggish movements.
Neoma rolled to the side as a screech was heard warning to get away and a plume of flame blossomed next to her skull.
She scrambled in the sand, trying to get a grip on both the shifting ground and on reality.
She didn't really want to kill another Lunarwing, but it wasn't exactly time for apologies right now; if they both survived this, that could happen later.
Neoma darted forward, trying not to use talons, but trying to at least throw her opponent off with a tail-slap to the side of the skull, directly on her left ear.
A rather stunning blow, in her opinion.
WHY ARE YOU JOKING?! Her mind screamed, but this didn't stop a small smirk from spreading across Neoma's face. Funny what goes through your mind even in a tense situation.
The aches this would leave wouldn't be fun, but dying wasn't much fun either... oh well. Neoma took a deep breath and dove directly beneath the belly of her enemy, twisting and thrusting her legs upward, catching the other one by the stomach and flipping her over. Neoma jumped up quickly, shaking the sand from her scales. Her back was already starting to hurt slightly from diving the way she had, but it was better than being buried in the sand with no headstone...
Another one? Stop with the dark humor!
Neoma faced the other Lunarwing, her eyes darting from her to the flaming- thing- in the sky, her wings spread and muscles tense, ready for anything... She hoped.
