"So- your other wing... I'll stich it. It's just membrane, you'll barely feel it." She would definitely feel it- but compared to setting the massive bone the pain should be nothing.Eclipse let out a gasp of relief and dropped her head to the ground with a heavy breath. She lay there a long moment just breathing, trying to calm her churning stomach. The pain was gradually beginning to ebb, and she pulled her wing back up to her side as slowly as she could. A long silent moment passed and Eclipse stared blankly out at the rest of the lot, trying to regain her composure. She was more aware now of the still open door to the cage. Normally, she might have just strode out guiltlessly, both out of desperation to be free, and out of spite to prove that humans didn't control her at all. But Tobias actually seemed to want to help her, and she hesitated, glancing at the human expectantly.

Eclipse slowly pulled her right wing back in, clenching her teeth as the pain began to resurface again in her shoulder. She wasn't exactly sure what he was doing now, but she guessed he had more of an idea than she did."So- your other wing... I'll stich it. It's just membrane, you'll barely feel it." She would definitely feel it- but compared to setting the massive bone the pain should be nothing.
Tobias moved slowly towards Eclipse's other side. "Don't, uh... Hmm, wait." He walked back to the other side, "Let's fold it in, K?" He grabbed her right wing gently.
"Good job, good job." Tobias reassured. "If you shift to you right we can stitch this other guy up. You need a break? That's okay if you do."Eclipse slowly pulled her right wing back in, clenching her teeth as the pain began to resurface again in her shoulder. She wasn't exactly sure what he was doing now, but she guessed he had more of an idea than she did.
Whitestar jumped to his feet, the spikes along his spine standing up again as the two dragons appeared. He had already felt the ice mounting into his throat, ready for an attack when he realized that the dragons were just a couple of passing Rainwings. He let out his breath slowly, cold steam curling from his mouth as the ice in his throat broke up. He watched the two dragons carefully, trying to force his bristling spies to lay flat again. He knew that though Rainwings were among the more peaceful dragons, they were also some of the deadliest when provoked. These two, at the moment, didn't even seem energetic let alone violent. But you could never be too careful.
He looked them over slowly. Even though their patterns were different, they looked almost exactly the same, and the bits of their scales that didn't shift shared the same color theme. They were very noticeably related. Whitestar glanced at Apple's milky white eyes with a pang of sympathy. He couldn't even imagine what it must be like to live in a world without light, and he shuddered at the thought.
Blackout looked literally dumbfounded and Whitestar couldn't help but be amused by his nervous stuttering.
"Hello, Apple, Bamboo," Whitestar started politely nodding to each of them. "Can we help you? Is there a reason you... dropped in."
He kept a defensive position, unsure of the Rainwing's intentions, though they seemed well-mannered, Whitestar knew full well that things weren't always what they seemed. He still wasn't sure if he even trusted Blackout yet, seeing as the X-Nightwing hunter just dropped in, apparently straight from a battle. And now that Whitestar paid more attention, the Nightwing was bigger than him and seven years older. He undoubtedly had more fighting experience than Whitestar and even more training. He was raised to be a killer, and it wasn't easy to just pull that sort of lifestyle out and start fresh. Alyssia was probably the most trustworthy, but even she could be just a lure for the hunters. They had both come from the same battle and though they claimed to have not been in union with the Nightwing hunters, they both came from the same battle alive and free, a battle which, as far as Whitstar knew, had been a losing round for the others.
He felt somewhat overwhelmed by the constant flow of possible scenarios on top of the already looming thought that he still needed to find a way to get Eclipse out of the Scorpion Den. He glanced at the sky distractedly as Apple and Bamboo replied to his earlier question. He wondered if it would be better to leave for the Scorpion Den now and find a way to sneak in tonight or come up with a plan involving all these new dragons-ehr-and... human, that they would have to wait off on. He didn't know how much time he had, or if Eclipse was even still alive at all. The most he could do--at least, within reasonable parameters--was hope.
*A few minutes before all this happened*Alyssia jumped at the sound of a dragon behind her. She covered her mouth to hide her scream and sat there wide eyed as she watched these two new dragon. "Oh my word! What are they trying to do? Kill me?" she muttered in English, thinking that no one would understand what she was saying. She took another breath and calmed herself down. Gathering her thoughts once again, she looked up at Whitestar. He looked worried. She watched him look at the sky and then look back, fear and worry in his eyes. He definitely wants to get going. She looked back at the other two dragons and tried to remember what they had said. The conversation between the two dragons was a bit jumbled and she had a hard time understanding, but by the way they spoke to each other, she could only imagine that they were related. She looked over at blackout who was trying to greet them. She chuckled a little at the huge dragon stuttering over his words. Her thoughts swirled, the information that the nightwing had given her was still being broken down in her mind. She analyzed scenarios and tried to think if she'd ever heard anything about this place. She remembered a place that she had heard rumors about from her school and around the city from tourists and things. The Terrible Viper Pit of Dragons is what they had called it, but maybe it was very similar to the Scorpion Den. Taking her information from that, she began to piece together her plan.
Okay, so we're gonna need a way to get in. Maybe......
Her grin began to spread across her face again as she stared at the two new dragons. Her eyes filled with curiosity and excitement as she also tried to greet them. She walked towards them, hesitantly at first, but then forcing herself to act confident, she walked closer and greeted them, "Hello dragons, I human named Alyssia."
(Alright Blackout's turn)*A few minutes before all this happened*
Bamboo sat in the high branches of a tree, grinning and munching on a piece of fruit as he watched a happy Nightwing beneath him. He hadn't seen very many Nightwings up close, only from a distance as they patrolled and passed by while the Rainwings were hiding in the jungle. He weirdly loved seeing someone so happy.
The Nightwing appeared to hear something, and began stalking something through the trees. Bamboo leaned forward, seeing him walk away, and felt a tap on his shoulder.
He clapped a talon over his mouth, holding in a squeak.
A quiet but stern voice behind him scolded, "Bamboo- what in the stars are you doing?"
He turned slowly and shrugged at the dragon behind him, his sister Apple.
"I- well... Y'know what? I was getting a piece of fruit, and when I looked down, I saw a random Nightwing down there. I was scared to move in case he heard me and was vicious..." Bamboo fibbed. Apple sighed, taking the piece of fruit out of Bamboo's talons and finishing it in one bite. Bamboo gawked at her indignantly. "Hey-"
"I know you're lying." Apple interrupted with a slight smirk.
Bamboo suddenly gave her a skeptical, knowing she couldn't see it. "How did you know that??" He asked, nudging her slightly.
Apple's claws dug into the bark of the tree they were perched in. "I had to follow you to make sure you weren't getting into trouble again- and clearly I was right to do so- you were!"
Bamboo snorted. "You have everyone fooled into thinking you're soft-spoken and sweet, but you're just as mischievous as your favorite brother!" He teased softly, knowing she really was quiet and kind. He loved that about her. Of course, he wasn't going to say so.
"My only brother, you dummy!" Apple snorted with laughter, then winced. "If you tell anyone I snorted again-" But Bamboo was already distracted. His head was practically twisted over his shoulder as he loudly exclaimed, "Ooh he's gone! I wanna see where he went!"
"BAMBOO!" Apple whisper-yelled as her twin quietly took off into the trees.
She spread her wings and followed him, silently saying some things in English that she wouldn't utter in Dragonese.
------
*later after they've been greeted by the crew*
"Is there a reason you dropped in?" Apple heard a voice say, and as she turned her face towards his voice, her nostrils were met with cooler air. "Ah- an Icewing." She said softly, and reached out a talon to touch his scales. She yanked her talon back before making contact. Stupid! Nobody wants to be touched by a stranger, even if they're a very curious and blind one! She thought annoyedly at herself.
Bamboo popped into the conversation. "Well yes- I was spying on this Nightwing here, and I followed him!"
Apple dropped her head into one of her talons. "Bamb- Bamboo that was dumb. We weren't spying on you all. He simply saw a Nightwing up close and was curious- and his curiosity took him too far!" She continued, turning to him and fixing a disapproving look on her face, even though she too was curious about the situation.
She realized her scales must be showing her disapproval and focused on making them neutral.
"Hello dragons, I human named Alyssia."
Apple's head snapped towards the voice. She had smelled and heard a being too small to be anything else and known it was a human, but now she could hear her- and understand her! All Apple's years of studying English were paying off.
"Hello!" She said politely in English. "I am Apple, and this is my twin brother Bamboo! How do you do, small human?" She was proud of herself. Her English was smooth and polished.
Bamboo stood behind Apple who was conversing now with Alyssia. He leaned towards the Nightwing and Icewing, muttering laughingly out of the side of his mouth, "She knows English... I have no idea what they're saying, do you?"
Sunspot pricked her ears in Helios' direction but didn't look at him. She continued staring ahead, listening.
Helios' deep voice rang across the room asking his comrades questions about a dragon named Eclipse and how long he'd been out. He looked over at the silver dragon and watched as she attempted to answer. She tapped twice and then made a motion with her hands, his brain trying to figure out what she meant. Then she covered her eyes. Ahhh, she didn't see this dragon they call Eclipse. he thought, knowing that the dragon had still been out cold when the one named Eclipse was taken away. Suddenly, the world went blurry and Crest tried shaking his head to clear his vision. He opened his eyes again and the world was spinning. Shutting them tight, he tried to slow down his breathing and keep himself calm. It had been happening more frequently the longer he had been in the sweltering place. His mouth was bone-dry and his scales were even drier. The vision got worse and he began to sway in his cage, his body knocking on the bars. He grabbed the bars in front of him with one claw to steady himself and breathed deep again, eyes still closed. He heard footsteps and a muffled voice near his cage and he squinted open to see. Several humans stood there with a large bowl of water, at least, large for a human. "What d'ya think yer doin'?" one of them snarled. "Stop makin' a racket."
Fear pierced Crest's heart as he thought of the electricity poles. His leg buckled again and he fell against the side of his cage. Pain seared through his body as he felt the pole in his side again. It was like it started in his side and spread through every nerve in his body like dragon claws tearing down his whole body. He tried to suppress a scream but he couldn't take it and let out a desperate roar, the sound bouncing off the walls around them.
After what seemed like a lifetime, the searing pain ceased and he collapsed to the floor of his cage again. His vision blurred more and he felt adrenaline pulsing through him. He saw the fuzzy objects of the humans with the water and a low growl sounded. It was almost like he was in a dream as he lunged forward and grabbed the bars of the cage, desperately trying to get his claws through the bars and grab the humans outside of it. The pupils in his eyes slitted and he banged against the cage. He felt another jolt of searing pain through his body and he buckled again, his side slamming the wall of the cage.
He shook his head as he realized what he had just done. I didn't realize that this little water could do this to me. He looked desperately at the water, shook his head again to clear his vision, and calmed himself down. The humans conversed with themselves about whether to still let him have the water, and one finally convinced them. They chose, it looked like, the leader among them and he began set the bowl into the cage slowly, electric spear at the ready. Crest glared, his aqua eyes staring deeply into the human's hazel ones. The staredown lasted a few seconds and finally ended as the human jerked away and began walking back to his group. He glanced back for a second, "Enjoy the water while you can," he sneered. Crest let out a low growl as the young man left. As soon as they were out of sight, he plunged his face into the water, trying desperately to drink it despite the muzzle. The holes in it allowing water to pass through and thus allowing him to drink it. The water tasted like the sweetest thing he had ever had and he relished it. With this small amount of water in him, he felt a little stronger than before, but he needed more. This wouldn't be enough to keep him alive...or sane. I can't let whatever just happened happen again. Though he began to worry that he wouldn't be able to control it.
Realizing again that there were other dragons in the room, he looked at them all wearily, embarrassed by how they saw him act.
Neoma stared at Sunspot. She didn't seem to care or be interested in talking or moving.Helios stared at Sunspot, his anger building up. “Sunspot! Where is eclipse?!” He shouted, slamming his wing claws into the cage bars. He couldn’t see her face, but desperately hoped she wasn’t muzzled.
Gosh, I wish we could do something with them.Neoma stared at Sunspot. She didn't seem to care or be interested in talking or moving.
Neoma partly shared her despair, but in another way, wanted to grab the Solawing by the wing-bones and shake her hard enough to hear her brain rattle. If possible, she would take her Warping and go poke her with it. But noooo... she had this stupid muzzle on.
A commotion in the corner of her eyes caught her attention. She looked over towards the Seawing, and her eyes widened. He was leaning heavily against the bars of his cage, panting and struggling to stand.
Neoma glanced again back at Helios. From his glare at Sunspot, she knew he hadn't noticed yet.
She looked back at the water dragon, and gasped slightly. Now, he was stumbling to the floor and struggling to rise again. Another loud clanging rang out again as one of the humans around his cell slammed the bars with a long metal pole- which, consequently, reminded Neoma that she was sitting on some. She glanced down at her talons and smirked a tiny bit, then looked back. Now, he was being given water.
The humans snapped something at him, then slammed the cell closed again and began walking away. The Seawing was relieved, and began drinking the water fast.
When he looked up, Neoma could tell he was slightly embarrassed. She gave him an understanding nod and winked, hoping he got the message that it was okay.
She jumped violently as Helios lost all patience and shouted loudly at Sunspot.
"Sunspot! Where is eclipse?!” He roared. Neoma stared in concern. Answer him, please, Sunspot, you dummy. She thought worriedly. She glanced back at the Seawing, sharing a shrug with him.
