Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Austin walked down one of the corridors of the arena. He felt a little small walking around without his dragon, but he shook the feeling and kept walking. Who needs dragons anyway. He continued walking when a man stopped him. "Austin, we have the lunarwing in the new lot for the next battle. Can you get 'er for me?" Austin gave a cocky grin. A lunarwing fighting, eh? This'll be entertaining. "Yes, of course I'll go get a dragon for you." He turned and walked towards the exit of the arena and down the roads to the lot of new dragons. Flanking him were several other nightwing riders.
"Ay, Austin, did ya eva get yer dragon back?" one of them asked as he walked beside him.
Austin turned his head slightly towards him, but didn't look at him. "Nah, he hasn't come back yet. Though, I can always break in a new one."
"Ya, I guess. Though, this one was real good."
Austin chuckled, "Yeah, but nothing that can't be replaced."
They entered the large lot and made there way over to the lunarwing. He saw the seawing that sat there in the cage getting agitated. While the others undid the locks on the cage and got out the lunarwing, he gave the seawing a sly grin. That's right, lizard, glare at me...hate me. It'll give me all the more reason to kill you. They got the dragon out and Austin was surprised to see it put up little resistance. He felt for his pistol in his right leg holster and the cool steel reassured him that if things got out of hand, he could control it. A loud growl resonated in his ears as he looked over at the seawing. The desperation to help this dragon was evident in its eyes. He looked at all three of the dragons - two solarwings and a seawing - and smiled. "Get ready, lizards, y'all are next." He turned and walked away, content with his comment.
He watched the dragon all the way to the arena, his hand always hovering over his pistol. The dragons really is beautiful, he thought and then shook his head. Remember, even sirens are beautiful to some. He continued forward. The dragon began to buck and resist the pull towards the arena and Austin barked an order to his cohorts to get her back in line. The prodded her with their electric poles and sent her into the ring.
One of the others walked up to him, "Shouldn't we unmuzzle her first?"
Austin smirked, "Oh, I must've forgotten," the sarcasm in his voice unmistakable. "I guess she'll have to fight with it on." He shrugged and walked over to the opening, leaned against the wall, and waited for the fight to begin.
Austin still stood leaning against the wall. His jaw dropped as he saw the lunarwing was now unmuzzled. How did that happen?! I didn't loosen it! He almost glared in the direction of the dragon but instead relaxed himself. It's ok, Ausin, it'll just make things more interesting. He watched, eyebrow raised at what was happening. They're just talking, he thought frustrated slightly. He had wanted to see the lunarwing in action and taking out some dragons to see if it was worth spending the amount to purchase when it finally went up for auction. Finally, the special power that lunarwings had was whipped out and the dragon was using it as a weapon against her opponents. He watched with a smile as the lunarwing pressed the strange weapon up against the throat of one of the rainwings. Still, they continued talking. A third came by and instead of seriously attacking, they still were talking.
Austin reached for his pistol, ready to make things interesting if necessary, but the lunarwing began charging the crowd and scaring them. Screams filled the large building and he stepped forward, drawing his pistol to stop her, but he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Austin," an older voice called, "don't go in. Let them fight. We have other people we pay for this kind of thing." Austin turned himself around to face the older man. The man continued, "We need you to take a dragon and go and escort some new guests to the Scorpion Den. Unfortunately, with all the dragons running around out there with rebellions recently, customers have gotten cautious and so have requested some of our best guards." He winked, "I gave them your name."
Austin began walking with the man down the hall away from the arena and the ensuing fight. "Ok, so where are they now?"
"They're about halfway through the desert. They are about to pass by that oasis that is not far from the Scorpion Den. They've had protection so far, but they heard about the incident with the dragons and the battle and things and they want more protection than what they have."
Austin nodded. "I'll rent another nightwing and head out there." He left the old man and headed towards the stable-like structure near the arena. It was one of many that you could go to throughout the Scorpion Den to rent a nightwing to ride. Stopping at the armory, he grabbed another pistol and one of the lighter machine guns, strapping it onto his back. He rented a nightwing and headed the direction of the oasis.

Dred rolled his eyes again and stood up, walking slowly over to a spot on the floor closer to Mr. Tobias and Sol, and the Lunarwing. He listened intently, imagining a city of old made of silvery metal with towers reaching into the sky, gleaming brightly in the sunlight. And a whole tribe of powerful silver moon dragons. “If only they were still around, we’d be able to escape this place with their help no problem.”

Oooh she had a brother?! That’s cool!
Alyssia's eyes are usually described as looking like the sea/ocean. So, a pretty blue. They're very similar to the dragon eyes of Crest's sister, Minami.

(What color are Alyssia’s eyes?)

Helios watched him, “yes, we did. I can’t quite remember….she slipped away when the guards came.”
“Wait….she….she had blue eyes.” He said slowly, remembering. “Like the ocean.”

Crest froze. "Like the ocean," he said. The same eyes from the encounter near the entrance, the same eyes from the attack at the sea, and the same eyes that he'd run into all those years ago. The eyes that looked so much like his sister's. He was in his own world for a second as he remembered his sister's ocean-colored eyes. I can't let this human girl down...I've already let those eyes down once before. I have to find her. He looked at Helios, some desperation in his eyes. "Do you know where she is? Did she get away? Is she alive?"

“She got away, I don’t know where to or for how long, sorry.” Helios replied.

Kapok waved a talon toward Tobias again in a Just look what he's been doing gesture. The human was just finishing stitching the tear in the Eclipse's wing, and Kapok fixed Shrike with a hard stare.
“What, you want me ta do something about him? Go tell ‘im I’m gonna be a good boy?” Shrike huffed, a stubborn expression falling over his face once again. “Look, I don’t care how nice his act is, I’m not- I’m not falling for that. He’s a human; they’re all the same. Shifty an selfish. Don’t tell me your fallin for ‘is act Kapok.” He stared at the LeafWing hard for a moment before averting his eyes.

Is the note still on the door? I don't know what happened- where is the resistance dragon?

Um the note is gone but I am pretty sure the dragon is still looking in the window.
The note is gone, but now the human is at the window, Jabez is right by him. I'll rp for the resistance worker. His name is Nic

Nic waited as Tobias got out of the cage. " Mr. Tobias I presume? I am Nic. If your a little freaked out I know your name it's because we did an "invesigation" on you and find you trustworthy. This dragon and I are part of a resistance and we came to help get some dragons out. I'll tell you why, they're all scheduled to fight to the death next week. Also, a Nightwing fought today. Do you know Sparrow's owner? A lunarwing also fought today and we're looking for her, her name is Neoma. Does that ring a bell?

Neoma hissed.
"What I want to know, is if I can trust you. I have two goals right now- get out of here alive and find my sister. I'd like to get my traveling companions out of here too, I need their help later."
Another dragon rushed forward, and Neoma's head jerked that way.
The humans around all gasped, leaning forward to witness what they thought would be a messy melee.
The new dragon begged for Neoma not to hurt the others.
Slowly, Neoma lowered the blade, but as she pulled it back, she kept it hovering between her and the other dragons. Lowly, she muttered, "It is not my intent or desire to kill. But I have no full reason to trust you..."
She glanced at the younger dragon helplessly watching nearby.
Of course, why would they endanger a youngling? That seems backwards...
To trust them or not?
She reformed her warping into a dozen tiny needles, letting the leftover absorb back into her scales as it rested on her talons. She stood still, not looking away as she made the needles zip towards the audience.
Screams erupted as the humans scrambled out of seats and clambered over each other to get away. They were sufficiently distracted at the moment for her to move.
Neoma, not bothering to look towards the mayhem she had caused, pulled the needles back towards her and allowed the warping to sink back into herself. Using the distraction of the scared humans, she moved closer to the other dragons and lowered both her voice and her head so she could murmur to them.
"I want to get out of here alive. I want my companions out too. If there's a rebellion of sorts or some others I can join, I will do that in an instant. Are you apart of that?"
Wanda stumbled back, ushering Qi'ra towards her and Jyn. "There- there is a rebellion," she started, a cautious edge to her voice. "We are apart of it. Stronger together." Wanda swallowed hard, hearing the doors open behind her.
People rushed into the arena, guns raised as they fanned out, all pointed at the LunarWing. Roe urgently called from the doorway, and Jyn rushed to her side, the others close behind.
"Was it magic?" Qi'ra whispered as they stared.
Jyn watched as a trigger was pulled, a tranq dart smacking into the silver dragon.
She cleared her throat. "I don't know."

(✋ I vote Neoma goes ham on the humans.)
