Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

The news of the limo excited Alyssia. Yes! There will probably be some important people in that caravan. This plan might actually work! She saw a shadow overhead and then saw Bamboo protectively cover them with his wings. Her heart started racing at the prospect of another battle. I don't have anything to fight with. She sighed and decided to just be the planner on this one. I could get in and try and take control of one the limo or something. She pushed the thoughts out of her mind and focused on the situation at hand. Her mind kicked into gear and she began thinking of scenarios and ways to take on this group.
Turning towards Apple, she whispered, "We can't attack this group if we don't know what we're up against." She started to make her way away from the group, her excitement shining through her bright eyes. The feeling was taking over her and all fear was being expelled from her mind...all except a small nagging feeling of fear which she blocked with all her might. Adrenaline began pumping and she made her way towards the edge of the oasis and beckoned for the others to follow her. Trying not to make a sound, she got to the tree line and looked out at the foreboding desert. Images from the day before jumped into her mind and she took a step back. The battle, her pain, the terror of almost dying. It was as if the burns started stinging right as she thought of this, and the sun began to bake her skin, bringing back more memories.
Alyssia, no. Focus. You have to do this. You'll never get back home if you're sitting around in an oasis waiting for something to happen. She looked in the distance to see a small caravan of people. She made out a strange looking limo and four jeeps. The silhouette of the dragon had landed and there was a figure walking in the group of vehicles. Undoubtedly the guard sent from the Scorpion Den. The person walked through and another small figure came out to discuss it looked like.
Alyssia squinted in the harsh sunlight and tried to make out figures in the jeeps, but she couldn't see in the windows. Hmm, we'll have to take a chance. I mean, what's the worst, four people in each? Though, I'm thinking maybe two in each. I don't think either will be too much for us. She turned back around towards the group and went close to Apple to whisper something for her to translate. "One main vehicle and four smaller ones. I would estimate about 8 guards around the main vehicle and no more than two in the main vehicle. And, then there's the guard from the Scorpion Den. The guard also has a nightwing, so I would say that those two will be our main concern." She looked at the others, her mind spinning until she finally settled on a course of action. The puzzles she had done in her youth came back to her mind as she contemplated how to handle the situation. Every piece has a place, Alyssia. The countless times she stared at pieces wondering where they go. Then, putting things together in her machines made her have the same mindset. Every piece has a place. She looked at the four dragons in front of her and grinned. Every piece has a place.
"Alright, here's the plan." She looked at Apple making sure she was ready. "Apple and Bamboo, I want you two to sneak around to the other side of the group and wait there for the order to attack. With your stealthy camouflage, I don't think that will be a problem for you." She looked at the beautiful white dragon, "Whitestar, you wait near the oasis for the attack. This way, we can flank them and get the jump on them." She turned to Blackout. "Because you have the most experience with fighting from the Scorpion Den, I'm putting you in charge of taking care of the nightwing and the rider, if he's there." She smiled widely and looked back towards the group, finally realizing what she could do. "And I!" She said dramatically, "Will be the distraction."
Terror tried to grip her, but she frantically pushed it away while trying to act confident to the others. She couldn't let it show. Plus, this was a great plan! What did she have to be afraid of. This is what I've always wanted! Isn't it? she thought to herself as she looked back to the others. I've wanted adventure, but did I really want to put myself in this much danger? She shoved the thought out of her mind, determined to examine it later when she was in a safer situation. She looked at all the dragons and decided to speak this last part in Dragonese to bypass the translating. "Plan good?"
If y'all want to answer, I'll wait for you, but if you want to get the story moving along, I can go ahead and assume y'alls dragons are ok with it and skip to the part where Alyssia is a distraction and the plan is being enacted. Up to y'all

Whitestar watched the strange caravan from behind the fronds of a young palm tree. He listened intently to Apple translating Alyssia's plan, and he could sense the excitement in her hushed squeaking. Her idea for him to stay under the cover of the foliage was probably best. His pale-colored scales would glitter like shards of ice in the direct sun, and it would be impossible for him to gain the element of surprise from the air. Blackout could attack the Nightwing directly, and the hunter might not even realize it was an attack until Blackout was nearly on top of them. The two Rainwings were the perfect ambush pair, and with the caravan distracted by both Alyssia's diversion and Blackout's attack, they would be set up perfectly to surprise the humans in the back. Whitestar would fight when he needed to. He wasn't exactly skilled though. Eclipse had taught him what he needed to survive, not how to take on half a dozen humans and potentially a Nightwing. But he was stronger than the other dragons put together, and he was more than willing to fight. Besides, if things started to look bleak, there was one other thing he could do to shift the tide a little.
He nodded firmly toward Alyssia and then shot a glance over his shoulder at Blackout and the two Rainwings, waiting for their response.

Helios sighed, “No. No of course not all of them are evil, but most of them yes. I’ve heard of several villages full of humans that are allies of us dragons, especially in the bay of a thousand scales.” He said with a glimmer of hope, smiling a little at the thought.

Dred was amazed at the idea of Warping, it sounded so incredible to have such power. He pushed the thoughts down as the conversation picked up, talk of an escape. His stomach knotted, which was an odd feeling for the burly Mudwing. Fear or anxiousness was not something he was used to. But finally after all those years of waiting and wondering what the outside world would be like…what freedom would be like, he might just get a taste of it. “I think…if this could actually work…we better give it a shot.” He said apprehensivly, his voice deep and low even though the group was in a secure area.
Crest contemplated what the king had said for a moment. There were so many good humans who lived near the Sea Kingdom. I mean, there were some who weren't good, but most of them were. He remembered seeing seawings and humans working together to fish and to complete other projects. How could all other humans be evil?
Seeing the king's small smile and the small glimmer of hope in his eyes, he decided that it was time to admit who he was to the king. "King Helios, I don't believe that I introduced myself. I am Crest, and I'm a seawing from the bay of a thousand scales." He smiled, thinking about his home. "And, yes, the humans of this bay are quite friendly towards us, and us towards them."
A nagging thought jerked at the back of his mind. Way to go, you idiot! Now you're creating a friendly bond with this dragon! What happens if you end up losing this one too! What if....you continue to fail at protecting them. He shook his head, desperately trying to get the thoughts to go away and instead stared back at the king, hoping that he didn't think less of him now that the king knew that he was a seawing, and a dragon friendly to most humans.

@Harmonylight
(Ok, so harmonylight is elsewhere at the moment, but I texted her and asked if I could control her characters momentarily so that we could keep the story rolling in order to get it caught up with the rest of the rp. So, if I do something for her characters, that's why.)
(Oh! Also, I'm gonna edit the original post, but just a heads up, Alyssia is gonna have Apple stay back and not attack, you know, with her being blind and all. XD I totally forgot about Apple being blind when I first wrote it. lol)

Alyssia's heart leapt as Whitestar nodded firmly. They were good with it. She looked towards the others for nods. Bamboo gave the first nod of the three, the excitement in his eyes evident. Blackout was next and he stared out towards the caravan with a very determined look. Apple was the last one. Oh please accept, Apple. If you don't, then Bamboo probably won't and then the whole thing is gonna fall apart. Apple finally nodded her consent but nervously, as if she wasn't sure. Alyssia's heart jumped for joy. Yes! My plan is gonna work!
She turned her focus back towards the main caravan. She nodded back towards the others and told them to get into their positions. Before she left, she turned back one last time towards them. "By the way, when you hear me scream, "attack" that will be the code word for you to actually attack." Confident, she started running towards the caravan. Alright, Alyssia, this has to work, so you better play your part well. The caravan was a little farther than she had previously judged and she was tiring out. The sun beat on her and she could feel her mouth becoming parched again. Keep running, Alyssia. It'll just add to the act when you get there. And, remember, make it dramatic. She smiled, she'd been told that her eccentric personality made her dramatic at times and now she got to test it out.
The caravan got closer and she saw the hunter better. He was a young man and the two people he had been talking to were wearing fancier clothing, so she assumed that they were the wealthy people going to buy and sell dragons at the Scorpion Den. She sped up. This had to look convincing. She heard shouts as she neared the jeeps, they were shouting orders and pulling guns on her. She ran as hard as she could and started shouting things of her own.
"Help me! Help me, please!" she screamed as she ran by the jeeps and towards the limo. Several guards closed on her and blocked her path. She kept running as one of them grabbed her and restrained her. She tried squirming out of his grip, but she couldn't. The shouts were heard by the others and they came towards the commotion.
"What is this all about!" the man in the fancy clothes demanded. The woman standing beside him saw Alyssia and her face softened.
"It's just a terrified girl," she started over to Alyssia and ordered the guard to release her. "Young lady, what are you doing out here?"
Alyssia tried to create fake tears, but they weren't coming. Instead, she jumped to the woman and buried her face in her shoulder. "Help please!" she cried, trying to add more panic to her voice.
The man walked forward, skepticism in his eyes, "Sweetheart! She's a random stranger from the desert! You can't just trust her right off the bat!" He gestured for the guards to grab Alyssia again.
"No! No please! I've been out in the desert for days now! I don't know where to go!"
The woman looked at the man. "Please Jack! She's obviously afraid. Can't we bring her with us. I mean, look at her! She's all burned up and tattered."
Alyssia suppressed a smile. She'd forgotten that she looked a mess and was grateful that it added to her plan.
The one named Jack seemed to soften but shook his head and gestured once again to the guards to grab Alyssia.
She tried to fight back. "No! You don't understand! What happened to me was horrible! I'm burned and dying! I need a city! PLEASE!!" Squirming her way out of their grip, she decided to add some more dramatic nature to it. She fell and grabbed her head, pretending to be remembering horrible events. "NOO STAY AWAY!!" She screamed. "The memories...they're horrible!!!"
The woman rushed to her side and Jack grabbed her, "Jasmine, you can't help her."
"Yes I can!" she replied. More guards came to the scene, trying to restrain Alyssia, but also not knowing whether to help or restrain.
She heard another voice, one that was calm still, even amid the situation. "Have your men restrain her and then I'll keep her away from the rest of the caravan on my dragon, that way if she is dangerous, I'll be able to keep an eye on her." The voice was confident, but also had a soft touch, like he was used to this situation. She looked up to see a blonde haired hunter from the Scorpion Den. Using this moment, she screamed at the top of her lungs, "NOT THEM!!!! THE ATTACK! NOT THE ATTACK!!!" She hoped the dragons recognized the code word and had started to move in. She looked around and saw 5 or 6 guards all around her. They all restrained her and began taking her towards the front of the group towards the limo. She took a quick glance at the jeeps and noticed that there were only two men in one of them. Good, there are only eight of the guards then.
"Get her in the limo, she needs air conditioning and some water!" the woman named Jasmine ordered.
"Jasmine, she can't stay in there though," Jack reminded.
"Yes yes, I know," she said annoyed.
She kept squirming and holding her head. Finally, she felt the cool breeze of air conditioning in the limo. A thing of water was lifted to her lips and she drank long and deep, allowing herself to calm down. Adrenaline was still pumping from her performance and terror started to build up as she didn't hear anything. Not even one scream. Her heart began to sink and she feared that she hadn't screamed loud enough. I thought my plan was gonna work. Now these people are gonna take me back to that retched place and I won't be able to escape this time.
"Are you ok, sweety?" Jasmine asked. Her green eyes bearing into Alyssia's ocean blue ones.
She breathed in and out slowly, "Yes....yes ma'am. I think so... I-"
She stopped as she heard screams coming from outside the limo.

Eclipse was curled in a loose ball on top of what was once her cage. The rest of the dragons were scattered throughout the lot. Kapok was sprawled half on and half of the large white boxes on the other side of the lot. Bloodmoon had decided to stay, though Eclipse couldn't explain why. Shrike was lying with his neck resting over one of the damaged machines and Sol was still unconscious in his cage. Nic and his Rainwing had left earlier. Eclipse wasn't sure who was actually asleep or not, but all of the dragons had found their own place throughout the large enclosure, like a flock of birds taking up several different perches in a large tree. Her tail hung over the side of the roof of the cage, twitching every now and then as she thought. She watched the mostly unmoving scene through unfocused eyes, her head resting on her talons, slowly drifting closer and closer to sleep.
I don't want to fight any innocent dragons, but I have to, or Tobias can't help get all of them out of here, she was thinking, her mind wandering circles around the conversation from earlier. I wonder if I'm allowed to use my warping. It will be hard to fight Sandwings or Skywing without much other than claws and teeth. Maybe we could fake a fight? But what other dragons are in on the rebellion? Who would listen? Her gaze drifted towards Bloodmoon. He might make quite the performance. But I'm assuming his human doesn't know he's here. They'll come looking for him soon enough. I'm sure Tobias will figure something out.
Her thoughts paused for a moment. Since when did you start relying on that human? He's not that much different from the others. Just because he actually takes care of his dragons. He's obsessed with these fights, and his life revolves around the name and career he's made. Her tail twitched a little harder at the thoughts, and after a moment, she sighed. But he's the closest thing we have to a chance. He and that other human. If we do manage to get out of here, it might just be because of them. I understand why Shrike is cautious about it. I just hope Sol will be on board. This is all he's known for the last four years, and he seems scared to confront his father again. I hope we can pull this off. I hope...
The sound of the lot door opening jolted Eclipse back to full wakefulness. She hadn't even realized she'd drifted off while she thought.
Tobias stepped into the lot looking exhausted and somewhat disappointed. His movements were slow and his eyes stayed unfocused on the floor. He looked lost in thought. Deep thought. Eclipse stood up stiffly and gave a wide yawn, arching her back and stretching her talons out in front of her, kneading the roof of the cage and making the metal whine. She sat down again and draped her tail gracefully over her talons, watching Tobias lazily. "What's the matter with you?" she grunted quietly, half-heartedly trying not to wake the others up. More out of annoyance by their presence than consideration.
Tobias took a deep breath, dimming the lights and walking towards Sol. He groaned as he sat down beside the red dragon, running a hand down his neck. Tobias looked up at Eclipse. "I'm exhausted." He announced, tossing his hat to the side as he positioned himself beside Sol. "Talk tomorrow. I need sleep." Tobias closed his eyes, pushing himself up against Sol, feeling each steady breath as the dragon slept.

Squirming her way out of their grip, she decided to add some more dramatic nature to it.
Whitestar watched from the sidelines as Alyssia sprinted out toward the caravan and the other two slipped away. Apple stayed where she was, her scales shifting to match the foliage but not turning completely invisible. A moment passed and soon, he could hear Alyssia crying and shrieking loudly. He listened hard, trying to make sure he could recognize the English word Alyssia had mentioned as the signal. He shifted slightly, unsure if she was screaming for the diversion, or if she was under attack. He could see several of the humans come out of the machines and try to grab her, and it seemed like there was a bit of debating among them and the more important-looking ones before they finally grasped ahold of her. Alyssia let out one more gut-wrenching scream, and Whitestar hesitated, although it sounded like it might be the signal. But then he saw the sand behind two of the machines shift unnaturally and the humans standing beside it were shoved to the ground. Wingbeats sounded nearby and Whitestar saw Blackout shoot out of the oasis shrubbery, aimed straight for the other Nightwing and his rider. Whitestar followed a moment later, running quickly out into the open and then spreading his wings. The desert sun sliced over his cold scales like a dim fire, burning into his muscles and making it uncomfortable to breathe. He flapped every now and then to pick up speed but kept low to the sand, switching back and forth between running and gliding, skipping off the ground. He rose up more just as he approached the closest transport and the two humans turned too slow to aim their weapons at him. He snatched them up in his front talons and beat his wings to rise back into the air, swooping above the limo in the center of the caravan. He flared his wings a little ways away, stopping sharply and letting go of the humans, sending them flying through the air. It probably wasn't enough to kill them, but hopefully, they wouldn't be a problem. He turned quickly back toward the caravan, soaring directly toward the largest machine. He could see Alyssia standing half inside of it, watching them, and he reach out a talon to grab her, hoping that he could get her away without hurting her. Loud banging sounds erupted from the last couple of humans remaining, and Whitestar veered sharply to the right with a hiss, feeling pain streak up his side and one of his hind legs. He swooped around again, his eyes locking on the last transport in front of the limo. He could hear the small explosions from their weapons coming from the ones in the back of the caravan, and he hoped that Bamboo was handling them fine. He pivoted sharply and dove toward them, waiting for the sting of the iron projectiles as he got closer. One stabbed his shoulder and another grazed his neck, but nothing enough to seriously injure him. Whitestar felt the ice building in his chest and then his throat, the cold sensation seeming to energize his parched scales. He opened his wings again and swooped low over the transport, forgetting his previous resolve not to kill any of the creatures. Ice engulfed the machine and the humans around it, small knife-like shards of ice growing instantly over them and their transport. Whitestar heard their last brief shrieks of fear before they were cut off abruptly by the solid frozen mass. Whitestar circled around again, icy mist swirling out from his nostrils and the sides of his snout. He cocked his head toward the caravan again, trying to find Alyssia among the chaos.

What time of day is it for all our RP characters living in/near the SD? It's night for Tobias and the gang- but what's it looking like for Alyssia, Whitestar and them?

Ok, so Nic is getting dragons bcs their "sick" He had given them forwarning to act sick

And he was carrying a big breifcase with him..

He stared at himself in his pocket mirror. A middle aged doctor with warm brown eyes stared back out at him. His white doctors coat finished the illusion. He picked his briefcase up and walked smartly out of the mens room. He looked at his first stop. A jackpot. He walked into the open lot door and knocked against the iron door. "Who's there?" A steady voice asked. " Dr. Morton. You made an appointment with me?" "Oh, you. Come in, come in." Nic smiled and walked toward the voice. A burly man with a 'don't mess with me or your dead' look. " Where is the patient?" Nic said. " Right over here. She's a Sandwing and my best fighter."
Nic entered the cage and looked at the dragon. She lay on the floor, not moving, just breathing. " Yes, we have had many cases recently. We have never seen anything like this before." I'm sorry to say, but all the dragons that have contracted it have died. I'll try my best, but there is not much hope. I can buy her for you. Once the dragons die, we do an autopsy and tests to see if we can find out anything about the diasease." The man thought for a few minutes. " Alright, but if she lives you tell me." He extended his hand and Nic pushed some money into it. " Come on you misrable dragon." He said as he forced her to get up. " Have a nice day sir." He turned his back and started to walk out of the cage, chuckling inwardly. He walked out and put her in a cage. " Once a truck arrives they will give you water. Still act sick, but know that they are good guys." He went back inside and gave himself an inward fist bump. Ten dragons tonight had been saved for a fraction of the cost.
