Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

"The sooner the better," Eclipse chirped, pacing quickly toward the lot door after Tobias, trying not to show her excitement too much. "And don't worry about it. I won't kill anyone," she gave him a mischievous and toothy grin. "This time." She added jokingly.
Tobias laughed softly, opening the lot door. "Shrike, Pok, Dred, foods on the grill." To ias slipped into the hall, motioning for Eclipse to follow.

Eclipse stepped soundlessly into the hallway, glancing up both ways as she did. The corridor was perfectly straight both ways and she could see branches of other hallways running the opposite way, intersecting the one she was in. Heavy iron doors were set at even intervals along the walls, almost every single one of them the same. It was like an enclosed iron maze, and Eclipse shuddered. "How do you find anyone in this place?" she said quietly, aware of how unnaturally well the sound echoed in the smooth narrow corridors.

Tobias walked closely beside Eclipse, his black boots clicking and contrasting against the white floor. "I've spent six years here. You learn your way around." He leaned in closer to Eclipse, "Do you want to stay here? For the... battle?" He could say that and not sound suspicious... Right? "You could come with us. I might need teeth if it.. doesn't go well. I've got," he took a deep breath, chosing his words carefully, "a crew on standby. I'll talk with Roe and see what she's thinking."

"I'm willing to fight wherever I am needed to get others out," Eclipse said firmly, flexing her claws and making them slide ominously against the hard ground as she walked. She glanced at Tobias. "We will see better what the best course is for all of us when we see your friend." She kept her voice low, dipping her head a little so Tobias could hear her.

Tobias nodded, turning sharply, loud voices echoing down the hall. A tall, stout man stared calmly at Eclipse from across the hall, his burly companion not holding his shock together. The fat man's gaze went from Eclipse to Tobias quite a few times. Tobias gave him a quick nod, whistling as he sauntered down the hall, his hands in his pockets. He smiled inwardly, hating to be arrogantly cliche, but also loving it all at once. He hoped Eclipse would take it with the same confidence, but he had a feeling the dragon would feel deeply uncomfortable. Tobias turned another corner, quickening his pace.

Eclipse's head snapped up at the sound of human noise from behind them and she stopped mid-stride. She felt the ridge along her spine rise defensively as the man stared at her and then glanced between her and Tobias. Her first instinct was to bare her teeth at the creature, but she forced herself not to, resolving instead to fix the man with a dangerously sharp stare. Tobias didn't seem to mind too much, and if he did, he didn't show it. She followed the human as he continued to keep her gaze locked on the spectator for a moment longer. She let out a quiet breath of relief as they turned a corner out of view, and she glanced once more over her shoulder self-consciously. "Is it just me, or do all humans seem to have a universal resolve to always stare only at me?"

"Ayy, you're weird and new." Tobias shrugged. "I mean, it's cool. No one's seen a LunarWing before. Everyone thinks their fake. But- HAERE YOU ARE." Tobias motioned to Eclipse, smiling cooly. "It's wild." He cleared his throat, "Lot's right up here."

Nic stared absent-mindedly at the saloon's wall. He reached for his coffee and took a large sip. He stared down at the disgusting flavorless eggs on his plate. You never appreciate your chickens till you have to eat this stuff. At least the bacon was good. He rubbed his eyes, thinking about the things he had said to the Lunarwing. Stupid things. Mean things. Things he wouldn't have said if he had slept the past two nights. He frowned into the deep brown liquid in his mug. The lunarwing was probably never going to forgive him. He took a drink from his mug and thought about the escape. He was getting tired of doing nothing. He saw someone enter out of the corner of his eye. Oh no. He stood up hurriedly and slapped some money onto the counter. He looked at the floor and walked out of the saloon. He heard a dragon and human walking down the hallway. He heard a human's voice. Tobias? What is he doing with a dragon? He headed down a smaller hallway. He did not want to see Tobias or whatever dragon he was bringing with him.

"There's a reason no one sees them anymore," Eclipse muttered bitterly. She followed Tobias down the maze-like halls until they reached the large iron-bolted door. "So this friend of yours--is she just a friend, or do you two have more of a connection?"

Tobias gave a soft laugh, cocking his head at Eclipse. "Dunno yet. It's up to her." He winked, then knocked quickly on the cold, white door. It was answered almost immediately by a grinning, orange RainWing. "Oh, heck, ROE. YUH DID  NOT TELL ME YOU HAD A-"
The grey dragon beside him smacked her wing into his side, her ruff shifting to a brilliant, deep green. "That's enough." She snapped, motion Tobias into the room. "Welcome, Tobias." She greeted, sounding anything but welcoming as Tobias quicky slipped into the enormous lot. "And you." She pointed a talon at Eclipse. "My name is Vel." She offered her talon to the LunarWing, frowning. "Good to see we have you on our side."
