Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Tobias gave a soft laugh, cocking his head at Eclipse. "Dunno yet. It's up to her." He winked, then knocked quickly on the cold, white door. It was answered almost immediately by a grinning, orange RainWing. "Oh, heck, ROE. YUH DID  NOT TELL ME YOU HAD A-"
The grey dragon beside him smacked her wing into his side, her ruff shifting to a brilliant, deep green. "That's enough." She snapped, motion Tobias into the room. "Welcome, Tobias." She greeted, sounding anything but welcoming as Tobias quicky slipped into the enormous lot. "And you." She pointed a talon at Eclipse. "My name is Vel." She offered her talon to the LunarWing, frowning. "Good to see we have you on our side."
Eclipse stared down at the grey Rainwing's extended talon for a hesitant moment before she slowly reached out and shook it. "Eclipse," she said, returning the greeting. Vel didn't exactly look pleased to her, but Eclipse took the expression anyway. She slid carefully into the lot with a nod to the orange Rainwing. "And you are...?"

"Kal the Great-"
"Sarcastic idiot." Vel finished, closing the door.
"Ooh." Kal winced, then stage whispered, "She says she isn't sarcastic but that sounded stupid sarcastic, right? Right."
Vel hissed quietly as Roe hurried toward them from the opposite end of the lot. Tobias gave a short wave, smiling. There were maybe a dozen dragons in the room, everyone slowly approaching Eclipse and Tobias.
"Hello, August." Roe started quietly, her wild hair tied back in a long, curly disaster, the ends still deep blue.
"Hey. We need to talk." He started, removing his hat and running a hand through his hair.
Roe hesitated, meeting Tobias' gaze. "Not about lat night."
Tobias glanced warily at Eclipse. "Not about last night." He agreed quietly. "About jailbreak date getting moved up?"
"Dude." The white/gray dragon beside Kal exclaimed, "FREAKING hyped, man, DADGUMMIT it's happening!"
An agreeing murmur slowly spread throughout the RainWings.
Roe nodded, forcing a smile. She nodded to Eclipse. "My name is Roe." She said in dragon, her Spanish accent very prominent with each vowel. "It is nice to meet you. Have you a name?"

Eclipse gave Kal and Vel an amused grin. She pulled her wings in self-consciously as the Rainwings gathered near the door, all of them fixing their multicolored eyes on her and Tobias. She jumped slightly as the whiteish-grey one near Kal yelped excitedly, their scales rippling with yellow and sky blue. Her attention snapped back to the humans as Tobais' friend turned toward her. Her voice was deep and rich with a thick human accent she'd never heard before.
Eclipse gave her a nervous smile. "Eclipse," she said, glancing at the clusters of Rainwings anxiously.

Roe gave her a short nod, turning back to the other dragons. "Sparrow-" she started, but a burly, tall orange and black dragon interrupted her, "Wanda, Kal, and I are out in five."
"Right. Do you need me?"
The dragon shook his head, "Should go fine."
"Do not push yourself. Any of you. Save it all for tomorrow."
The RainWings nodded collectively.
"Where is Jyn?" Roe asked, quickly giving Tobias an apologetic look.
"Lab." A black and white dragon announced, his wings twitching excitedly.
Roe nodded with a stressed sigh, running her hands across her hair self-consciously. "Okay. We must discuss the shipment plan."
"Right-" Tobias started, "I can cover most of that tonight."
"That soon?"
"I think so. Should be able to pull it off. I'll go with them. I don't want to leave Sol."

(I'll make a big plan discussion, but I'm in town rn. Be back soon.)

"What is my place in all of this," Eclipse chimed in, pacing forward. "I want to help, but I don't know where I am needed."

"Of course... We need more talons releasing dragons. Tomorrow night is the first Team Rally meet, which is quite perfect. The less humans in The Maze, the better."
"But more dragons in the arena." Vel added. "I will be competing, as well as Kasa, Solo, Beckett, and Sparrow, then we will help move out. Everyone else is releasing dragons. Once every dragon is on that shipment, and out a ways, we get the word, and it's a dog fight out of this hell pit."
Roe bit her lip. "Eclipse, you could assist with the escape, or you are welcome to join the transport crew, but I imagine we could use your abilities in the arena. What do you decide?"

Eclipse ran a talon over her snout, running the options through her mind. "I can't fly, so I won't be able to join the fight out, unfortunately. I figure warping would come in handy for a moment like that, and lots of humans would be distracted to see "a rare Lunarwing" fight. But without a way to escape afterwards, I would be stranded, especially if the transports are out by then." She paused, her tail twitching as she thought. "I could use my warping to break dragons out though. I think that would be my best position."

Whitestar watched from the sidelines as Alyssia sprinted out toward the caravan and the other two slipped away. Apple stayed where she was, her scales shifting to match the foliage but not turning completely invisible. A moment passed and soon, he could hear Alyssia crying and shrieking loudly. He listened hard, trying to make sure he could recognize the English word Alyssia had mentioned as the signal. He shifted slightly, unsure if she was screaming for the diversion, or if she was under attack. He could see several of the humans come out of the machines and try to grab her, and it seemed like there was a bit of debating among them and the more important-looking ones before they finally grasped ahold of her. Alyssia let out one more gut-wrenching scream, and Whitestar hesitated, although it sounded like it might be the signal. But then he saw the sand behind two of the machines shift unnaturally and the humans standing beside it were shoved to the ground. Wingbeats sounded nearby and Whitestar saw Blackout shoot out of the oasis shrubbery, aimed straight for the other Nightwing and his rider. Whitestar followed a moment later, running quickly out into the open and then spreading his wings. The desert sun sliced over his cold scales like a dim fire, burning into his muscles and making it uncomfortable to breathe. He flapped every now and then to pick up speed but kept low to the sand, switching back and forth between running and gliding, skipping off the ground. He rose up more just as he approached the closest transport and the two humans turned too slow to aim their weapons at him. He snatched them up in his front talons and beat his wings to rise back into the air, swooping above the limo in the center of the caravan. He flared his wings a little ways away, stopping sharply and letting go of the humans, sending them flying through the air. It probably wasn't enough to kill them, but hopefully, they wouldn't be a problem. He turned quickly back toward the caravan, soaring directly toward the largest machine. He could see Alyssia standing half inside of it, watching them, and he reach out a talon to grab her, hoping that he could get her away without hurting her. Loud banging sounds erupted from the last couple of humans remaining, and Whitestar veered sharply to the right with a hiss, feeling pain streak up his side and one of his hind legs. He swooped around again, his eyes locking on the last transport in front of the limo. He could hear the small explosions from their weapons coming from the ones in the back of the caravan, and he hoped that Bamboo was handling them fine. He pivoted sharply and dove toward them, waiting for the sting of the iron projectiles as he got closer. One stabbed his shoulder and another grazed his neck, but nothing enough to seriously injure him. Whitestar felt the ice building in his chest and then his throat, the cold sensation seeming to energize his parched scales. He opened his wings again and swooped low over the transport, forgetting his previous resolve not to kill any of the creatures. Ice engulfed the machine and the humans around it, small knife-like shards of ice growing instantly over them and their transport. Whitestar heard their last brief shrieks of fear before they were cut off abruptly by the solid frozen mass. Whitestar circled around again, icy mist swirling out from his nostrils and the sides of his snout. He cocked his head toward the caravan again, trying to find Alyssia among the chaos.

@_-Captain BRM-_ We should wait to do the break-out scene until we get our oasis group into the SD for the rescue.

"That's a fair point." Tobias agreed. "Perhaps Sol and I wait to leave.. there's more risk, but.. I think we need to take it. If we wait, we can take Eclipse and anyone who has been injured on the way out. Maybe this is the best route."
