Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

What if Neoma doesn't get her memory back in the den, but Whitestar can give it back to her when they escape? it's gonna frustrate Eclipse mad to have to work with both Sunspot and a very confused Neoma, and I think it would be an interesting and funny experience up to that point. Also, @Harmonylight I was considering having Whitestar give Apple the ability to see, but I didn't know if you would rather have her stay the way she is, or wait till the end of the story for him to do that for her.
actually whitestar shouldn't need to give neoma's memory to her.... let's just say there's certain things that might jog her memory hehehehehehe
ok i've had the same thought! maybe after apple realizes that he's an animus and the shock wears off, she asks him to do something abt her sight??!!

I literally dream about this rp every night. It's so incredible and our characters are so colorful. Everyone here is an awesome writer and since we are all overflowing with ideas, when our ideas clash in the rp, the become such an amazing and creative story like nothing I've ever written before.

awww thanku, honestly that makes me feel rly good bc writers block sucks!!!!
you're dang right everyone is so amazing!!!!!!!
i totally get that, sometimes it's hard to know where boundaries are for what to write. Some people aren't as into the harsh reality or dark descriptions, but that's something I love abt this rp! everyone's so excited just to write, and everyone encourages and admires each other's writing.
Everybody is so good!!!

honestly same lol, i keep thinking abt all the possibilities of what could happen and my ideas keep changing and spinning! it's like a crazy dance, but the moves keep changing mid-step!!! and every time the dancer makes a move, it's as beautiful as possible!
aight that's it i'm referring to our rp as a dance now lol, it literally is a dance
we're all creating the steps, and the rp is a dancer on a well-lit stage.
I WANT TO POETICALLY DESCRIBE WHAT I'M THINKING ABT THE DANCE THING NOW, IT'S SO CLEAR!!!!
i hope it's clear to y'all what I meant lol

btw I just had an idea, and if y'all want to, we should totally do this; if anyone here has spotify, we should collab on a playlist that is basically good inspo or vibes for the rp!! music affects how I write and i always listen to something while i write, so if anyone wants to join me, I'll be making a playlist!!
All week I’ve been planning out my pieces and now I’m ready to unleash them >: D

SERIOUSLY THO A SPOTIFY PLAYLIST IS AN AMAZING IDEA

Whitestar took a deep calming breath, trying not to let himself start to shake. Apple's words reassured him and finally began to pull together a resolve in his chaotic mind. But he was still terrified, even though he would never admit that to anyone. He paced slowly but resolutely toward Alyssia, gently reaching down to lift her out of the water and he rested his talon against the ground, still holding her.
There was a long pause and Whitestar took another deep breath before closing his eyes.
This is it. This is where they all find out...
Enchant this human to heal and recover fully from all wounds.

He felt the shiver run through his bones. He had rarely cast a spell that effective before, even though it could still be considered a minor one, it was more than he had done in a long time. He tensed his muscles to keep from shivering. Being cold was not an experience he had ever found unpleasant. But this was a different sort of cold. It cut through his scales and down to his bones, and he shuddered almost more from the thought of what it did to him than the actual chilling sensation.
He opened his eyes and watched the wound on Alyssia's arm close and seal, the blood disappearing. All of the scratches and burns on her body from her battle with the hunters smoothed over and vanished, none of the injuries even leaving a scar. Her breathing slowed and deepened, and she slowly relaxed in his talon.
The silence that settled over the clearing was so heavy, Whitestar could almost feel it weighing on his scales like a thick blanket of snow. After a few moments, Alyssia's eyes slowly fluttered open, and Whitestar let out the breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding.
Alyssia still sat in the water. Dragons around her seemed to be frantic and worried. She groaned and decided to try and move. Pain shot through her arm and she scrapped that idea. Ugh! I can't take this anymore! They're must be something I can do, cause I'm far to small for them to do anything. She tried thinking of solutions, but nothing was coming. She was exhausted. The events of the last few days replayed in her mind. She'd been captured, beaten, burned, and now shot. SHOT! Never in her life would she have thought that she would have gotten shot with a bullet. Closing her eyes and letting her thoughts swirl, she recalled the seawing that she had been captured with and wondered if he was ok. This is my fault that he would still be in that retched place. She thought, discouraged. If I hadn't gone out so far, he wouldn't have had to try and protect me. Then something occurred to her. Why did he protect me? We don't even know each other. Why would he protect me?
In all of her thoughts, a cold claw picked her up and out of the water. She felt the chill from his scales and without opening her eyes, knew it was Whitestar. She wanted to shiver, but her body didn't respond. The chill began to grow worse. The dragon's hands seemed to get colder, but Alyssia was getting...warmer? She felt warmth climb through her body and strength getting pumped back to her muscles. The pain in her arm slowly subsided and she felt as strong as ever. It wasn't just that, but the pain from her burns and cuts that she'd just gotten used to was also dissipating and she smiled. The warmth and the lack of pain drove her hopelessness away. The warmth disappeared and she was left with the slight chill of Whitestar's claws. The headache went away and she opened her eyes. The light seemed welcoming and not sheer and painful like before. She looked up to see the icy eyes of Whitestar. She sat up and her eyes widened in surprise. There was no soreness, no pain, no aching. She felt better than she had in a while. A quick look at her arms told her that her bullet wound had sealed and looked like nothing had happened. She also noticed that the scratches and burns were all gone. Her skin was like it was before this crazy adventure had begun.
She looked up at Whitestar and smiled the biggest smile, the joy evident on her face. "I thankful, Whitestar," she spoke in dragon. She turned to look at the others, her blue eyes almost glowing with excitement. She slid around to the edge of his claws and dropped to the ground. Looking back over at the others, she yelled, "Look! See! I'm healed! Whitestar did it!" She hoped that Apple would translate for her. She did a little happy dance and then noticed Blackout and the hunter by the trees. All eyes were on Whitestar and she couldn't tell why. Wonder at what had happened started to creep into her mind and she looked back at Whitestar and cocked her head curiously. "How did you heal me?"
Apple stepped back and heard Whitestar take a deep breath. She closed her eyes, hoping she had made the right decision.
Silence fell over the clearing as she heard Whitestar lift the human from the pool of water. Part of her wanted to rush over and help, but she knew whatever Whitestar was about to do, he had to do on his own.
Next to her, Bamboo gasped. A breeze seemed to pass next to Apple, and she blinked as the air hit her eyes. "What is it? What's happening?" She whispered to Bamboo, and he stepped on her talon roughly. "Shh!" He responded distractedly, and she felt him lean closer to the Icewing and the human.
Apple felt frustrated. Oh, how she wished she could know what was going on!
Bamboo stared in shock. The human was healed. Now she was sitting up and squeaking excitedly....
Apple jumped as the human began to speak. What?! How had it worked this fast?!
The human proudly proclaimed that Whitestar had healed her...
And suddenly it snapped into place.
Apple gasped and sat hard on the ground.
His reluctance to help, the strange feeling in the air, Alyssia being healed so quickly, Whitestar concentrating so intently....
He was an Animus.
Numbly, without really thinking about what she was saying, Apple translated quietly.
Bamboo looked at her out of the corner of his eyes. "You figured it out didn't you?" He asked lowly.
Slowly, Apple nodded.
"Maybe it's selfish, but I had an idea...." She murmured hesitantly, and Bamboo touched her talon with his.
"I know. Me too."
Apple shook her head suddenly. "No. I can't. That doesn't seem right. I don't know how to explain it, but it's not the right time, and things just shouldn't happen like that. Besides, he doesn't like using his powers like that remember?"
Aghast, Bamboo stared at her as she stepped away from him, towards the healed human and Whitestar. His sister was selfless and thoughtful, to a fault really. He made up his mind there. If she wouldn't say something to Whitestar, he would.

Are you going to rp Blackout's rection next? I wanna get a full scope of everyone's utter shock before I RP Whitestars next par.

Austin didn't even see it coming. At one point, he was yelling at his former dragon, but then he felt cold scales on his side and the next thing he knew, he was staring at the sky. He turned his head and glared at the nightwing. The chuckle from the dragon ignited anger in Austin and he got up quickly. He continued to glare at the dragon, but the nightwings gaze was not on him anymore. The urge to jump the nightwing was so tempting, but he saw movement from the corner of his eye and he turned to see the icy white dragon picking up the raggedy human. No.....they're gonna kill her now. He turned to go towards them, but a chill flew through the air. Some sort of power or presence seemed to float in the air, but then almost as soon as it had appeared, it vanished, leaving only a small lingering of it. Austin's eyes went wide as he saw the girl sit up and look up at the dragon and speak. She's ok? I thought she was dying! The girl swung herself around and dropped to the ground. She looked around at the group with curious eyes. Beautiful blue eyes. Even from the distance he was at, he could make out the color of her eyes.
He recalled the raggedy girl who'd come to beg for their help before. She was bruised, scraped, and burned. Her hair was a mess and her clothes were in poor condition. This was not the same girl. Yes, her hair was still a mess and her clothes weren't any better, but he never noticed her eyes before. But, his gaze was drawn back to the ice dragon as he realized that all of her injuries were gone. No....he can't be.... He'd heard rumors, but he never thought that "magical" dragons were real. He looked back and forth between the girl and the dragon. Why would he use his power on a human.....
Blackout stared as the human sat up, fully healed.
His eyes shifted to Whitestar. The Icewing looked almost afraid of something.
Blackout stepped around the human, who was also staring in surprise. He whapped him gently with his tail again, a silent command; stay.
Blackout slowly approached the white dragon. In his mind, he was shocked. He hadn't seen an Animus maybe ever. This was an incredible development, and he was both shocked and excited about it.
But he pushed it out of his mind as he laid a talon on Whitestar's frigid scales.
"Good job." He said quietly. "You did the right thing." He moved his talon and stood close to the Icewing, knowing just being a companion would be better than trying to offer all sorts of words.
His mind was spinning. An Animus????
It explained a little bit of why Whitestar was so concerned to do certain things; he didn't want to endanger himself or anyone else.
The whole soul-draining thing would be enough for anyone to worry about using their powers, let alone an already concerned Icewing.
He snapped out of his mental trance and glanced at Austin. The hunter was staring in surprise at the human who had just been healed by a dragon. He answered the unspoken question.
"We care. No matter the life, we care." His voice was missing it's normal edge that it held when he spoke to Austin.
For a moment, Blackout looked at Austin with almost a certain pity. He had been raised to think a certain way, and it was clear with how Austin acted around others.
Blackout shook his head now. No. No pity for this human.
No matter how you're raised, you can always choose better than you were taught, he thought.

Whitestar was shaking now. He could feel the eyes of all the others burning into his scales and their shock hung thick in the air like the final moments before a storm cloud opened. He was more than relieved to see Alyssia alive and perfectly healed, and he was almost proud of what he had done. But the silence that followed her question, and then the anxious murmuring from Apple and Bamboo made him want to curl up in the foliage and disappear like a camouflaged Rainwing. He didn't regret saving Alyssia. But he regretted that everyone had to know in order for him to do it.
Blackout rested a firm, warm talon on his shoulder and Whitestar tensed, waiting for him to question him, or to tell him to leave. Something either out of fear or anger.
"Good job. You did the right thing,"
Whitestar almost went limp with relief at the Nightwing's words and he couldn't express how grateful he was that Blackout didn't say anything directly about his power. He gave the Nightwing a weak smile and then took another deep breath, squaring his shoulders and forcing himself to regain his composure before he turned back toward Apple and Bamboo. They both looked like there was something they wanted to say, especially Bamboo. He watched the two of them silently, waiting for their reactions.

@Harmonylight are you going to rp Bamboo again next?

Bamboo stared at Whitestar. His mind was trying to convince him to say something to Whitestar, now that it was clear Whitestar could heal things.
Apple was now distracted, leaning over a very happy Alyssia and talking to her. Bamboo knew he could hold his tongue and not say anything, but at the same time....
He swallowed.
Don't say anything. You know she wouldn't want to burden anyone.
But this is important!
So important that you have to say what she won't? Leave it up to her.
She has the chance to have a whole different life... and she won't take it because she thinks she doesn't deserve it.
So? If she thinks something, you should let her do what she thinks!
No.

Bamboo fixed a determined and hopeful expression on his face, and lifted his head with his shoulders back. He looked at Apple, and said, "Well, if you're not going to say it, I will!"
Apple's head shot up and she whipped it around to give him a sightless glare, part horror and part anger mixed.
"Don't. I'll be fine." She hissed, but she couldn't stop him as he looked at Whitestar and asked loudly-
"Can you make Apple see again?"
In the deafening silence that followed, both twins listened anxiously.

Aryas fingers darted deftly over the keyboard, typing out commands as she kept track of all the dragons under her care. A large sandy colored dragon lay behind her, watching over her shoulder, the computer screens reflecting in his glasses lenses in the darkened room.

“They took that LunarWing somewhere,” Arya said, placing both hands down on the desk and leaning forward with narrowed eyes as if she could intimidate the screen into giving her answers. “They came in, took her, and now I can’t find her. Where’s the rest of that batch at currently?”

The dragon behind her shifted. “The first LunarWing went out to auction and was purchased by a man named Tobias. The one you’ve been keeping an eye on.”

“So she’s in good hands for now?”

“We’ve lost tabs on her for now, but I think that is a good thing. The larger SolarWing in that batch was just taken out to the arena, along with a SeaWing.” Cochineal frowned.

“The other SolarWing is still there in the yard.” Cochineal continued.

“Are there any plans for her right now?” Arya asked, pulling away from the desk to look at the dragon.

“Not that I know of.” Cochineal said.

“Alright.” Arya said, pushing off the desk and beginning to pace. “All of those dragons are high value. Especially those LunarWings. We can’t have them dead. Sooooo… we need to find them first.”

Cochineal stood, peering at the computer screens closely. “Yep.” He said eventually. “Sounds like a plan.”
