Shrike stared hard at Sol, who looked pitiful and emotionally shaken on the ground; he wasn’t sure what to make of the SolarWing’s confession. He’d certainly never seen the champion fighter in such a.. vulnerable state before.Sol gave Shrike a cool look. "You're right. I didn't ask for pity. I.. you can't compare us, Shrike. You don't know. You don't know. I'm not a martyr. That's not what I'm saying. I don't.." Sol took a deep breath, locking his shaking knees. "I don't remember anything after I was.. brought here. I can remember Helios, my- my father, I can remember hoping, and I can remember begging for him to.. save me." He looked away. "Impossible, I know. He.. he couldn't do anything. Even if he tried." Sol tried to hide his discomfort, but he feared his shaking wings were all too noticeable. He tried to lock his knees, feeling them tremble jarringly. Sol's looked down his nose at Shrike. "I don't remember my life before all this. I don't remember.. freedom." He swore jerking his gaze away, blinking as the blood suddenly rushed to his head. Sol bit his tounge gently, fighting his body with all he had. "You're- ru-.. r-right." He repeated, the vocal fry real. "I'm not-.. sspecial. And," Sol blinked focusing on the ground, "and I'm sure you've.. hhhad a-.. a tough time.. hhere. But I- I.." Sol tried to hiss as his left wing collapsed, sending him stumbling to the side, slamming against the cement. He could feel his scales surge with heat as he lay, sweat dripping down his nose. Sol grunted, tempted to stand again, but as he lifted his head, it became apparent that he may not stay conscious if he over used his exhausted body. He considered saying nothing, but Sol turned back to Shrike, letting his ego plummet. "You're right, Shrike," he breathed, "maybe I should still be fighting. There are no morals here. And I've grown accustomed to the lies. But maybe all I've even known is this. Maybe all I've known is hell, and I've made the best of it."
Kapok glanced from Sol to Shrike, his expression shifting from shock to sympathy. He gently laid a wing across the small Cloudwing's back, giving him a wan smile. He wished that Sol and Shrike could see how much in common they actually had. He also hoped Shrike could understand that he wasn't completely alone.Shrike stared hard at Sol, who looked pitiful and emotionally shaken on the ground; he wasn’t sure what to make of the SolarWing’s confession. The first thing the CloudWing thought was that he could probably take on Sol right now without the certainty of death, but a millisecond later his mind was flooded with hundred of different emotions about the situation in front of him and from memories of the past he’d always buried deep.
Shrike flicked an ear absentmindedly, milling his talons uncertainly as he fought tor what to say through pride. “At least you have family to go back to.” He said quietly.. bitterly.
Sol stared at Shrike with a calm, quite condescending expression. He gave a deep, dry groan. "Says who. To my knowledge, my father is alive. I can't remember a thing about him." He dropped his gaze. "I suppose I recognized him. Maybe... maybe it'll come back.." his eyes wandered back to Shrike. "I don't know what your problem is, man, but I'm cool with being a team and getting the.. heck out of here."Shrike stared hard at Sol, who looked pitiful and emotionally shaken on the ground; he wasn’t sure what to make of the SolarWing’s confession. Sol felt like an fool for sharing all that he did. Not that it was much. But it.. didn't work. Shrike was still defiant towards any move of Sol's to make amends. He shouldn't have said anything.
Shrike shrugged Kapok’s wing off and stalked towards the car again, glancing back at the group before flopping to the ground with his back to them. “I don’t care,” he muttered, “just.. whatever it takes to get out of here. Teaming up, splitting up, whatever.” He huffed.Kapok glanced from Sol to Shrike, his expression shifting from shock to sympathy. Tobias leaned against the doorway, frowning, his fingers twitching beside his gun.
"Rose-" he started, then looked away as the plants blocked his view.
He hesitated a moment more, his left hand still beside the handgun. "Truck's... outside." He half growled.
“Oh no! I’m sorry if I offended you your highness! It won’t happen again your highness!” Shrike mocked without looking back as he walked over to where Kapok and Dredbog sat.
"What's you problem, man? Are you just always like this?" Sol locked eyes with Kapok, "Is he always this stupid? Or does he get worse? Gosh, I can't see it much worse than this.." Sol smirked.
“Sorry, luv. My Leafspeak isn’t what it used to be.” She said kindly, knowing full well that was the opposite of truthful. Her Leafspeak was at its finest it’d ever been.Eclipse shot Rose a thankful look and quickly gulped down the antidote. As soon as the liquid hit her tongue, it took everything she had not to gag and spit it out again. But she forced it down, her snout scrunching up at the fowl taste, even after she had already swallowed it. "Be right there," she called toward the plant-covered door, shoving the antidote bottle under the counter with the metal band before quickly bounding over to the other counter, quickly moving the vials into one of the boxes again. She could still taste the reminiscence of the strange liquid and she had to force her expression not to wrinkle up from it. "Three moons Tobias, we're almost done, calm down."
Eclipse could feel the buzzing sensation already beginning to fade and she flashed Rose another small smile before flicking her head at the door, signaling for her to let the human in.

@_-Captain BRM-_ we can finally do a fun argument scene with Tobias and Eclipse“Sorry, luv. My Leafspeak isn’t what it used to be.” She said kindly, knowing full well that was the opposite of truthful. Her Leafspeak was at its finest it’d ever been.
She furled in the pantalan ferns and honeysuckle so Tobias could look around the room while the vines finished packing the precious cargo. “All set!” Rose said with a smile, noting eclipses happy demeanor. She grabbed a box of Anti-Serum and started out the door.
Dred watched the two spirited dragons argue, until the years of bottled up emotion FINALLY spilled. He wondered if he had that inside him too. This was all he’d ever known. there was always a longing for family, his sibs especially, but it couldn’t compare to their lives. Being free and loved, and then having it all taken away. Maybe he was lucky, lucky to have made it all this time in the Den and lived his life at least. Unlike those that had died in the den, some by his claws, he had hope. They all did now.

Tobias had already heard the collar clatter to the floor, but now that he could see Eclipse free from the metal band.. he took a step back, his left fist closing around the gun. He met Eclipse's gaze with a dangerous, warning look.“Sorry, luv. My Leafspeak isn’t what it used to be.” She said kindly, knowing full well that was the opposite of truthful. Sol closed his eyes, jerking his gaze away with a growl. What a fool. He was such a fool.Shrike shrugged Kapok’s wing off and stalked towards the car again, glancing back at the group before flopping to the ground with his back to them. “I don’t care,” he muttered, “just.. whatever it takes to get out of here.
