Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Tobias had already heard the collar clatter to the floor, but now that he could see Eclipse free from the metal band.. he took a step back, his left fist closing around the gun. He met Eclipse's gaze with a dangerous, warning look.

Eclipse held Tobias' gaze unmoving for a long moment, aware of his hand resting on the handle of his weapon. For the first time since arriving in the Scorpion Den, she wasn't worried about what would happen if he tried to fire at her. In the time it would take him to draw the weapon, she might have just enough time to summon and harden her warping into a shield, and in the seconds that would follow, it would be over very fast. She missed this feeling. The feeling of being dangerous. Being in control, however uncertain the odds looked from an outside perspective. Being the stronger species.
But she didn't exactly want to kill the human. He had given her a small pocket of freedom in this horrid place, and she knew Sol would never forgive her. She might injure him if the situation turned to that, though he'd live. But they had a mission to complete, the rebellion was counting on dragons and humans working together to get everyone out. Specifically Eclipse and Tobias. He had valuable resources that would contribute to the escape, and she possessed important skills and abilities both as a Lunarwing and as an assassin. If they couldn't learn to work together without the threat and restrictions of the Den's functions, the mission could be compromised.
Eclipse flicked her tail at him dismissively and packed the rest of the vials into the last box, folding the hard lid over the top and ignoring Tobias pointedly.
"Is this all of it Rose?"

Tobias straightened, lifting his chin slightly, eyes catching every move the LunarWing made, expression like steel. "Trucks almost dead." He said quietly. "I suggest you hurry."

"And I suggest you calm down," Eclipse snorted sarcastically without looking at Tobias. "We are moving as fast as we can." She slid the box off the counter, adjusting it awkwardly in her grip before setting it down on the ground, and glancing around the room. "Do you have anything like some straps I could use to carry this?" she said, turning to look back at Rose.

@Crestcrazy2

Rose watched the two with a calm expression, she didn’t know either of them very well, but from what she’d seen Tobias wasn’t going to hurt her. He believed in second chances and eclipse wasn’t an evil dragon, she could feel it and so did the many plants around her, whispering it into her head. “Yes dear, over here.” She replied to eclipse with a knowing smile. As the silver dragon moved over to the other side of the room Rose sidled up next to Tobias. “We’re here to free dragons, not keep them chained up. Her warping is a valuable tool in this escape you know. I’ve worked towards this moment for too long in my life Mr. Tobias, and I’m not going to watch you ruin it because I helped another dragon.” She said firmly, yet a calmness was still over her.

Tobias cocked his head, staring dryly at the LunarWing. "Very well, then." He muttered, still watching Eclipse dangerously, tempted to give reason a try, but Rose seemed rather convinced, and she certainly trusted the LunarWing.

Eclipse ignored the human, folding the sturdy cloth straps over one of the boxes before clamping them in between her teeth and lifting it off the ground with a grunt, straining her neck awkwardly to carry it without letting it bump against her chest. She slid carefully past Rose as the dragoness paced back into the apartment, grabbing another box to carry out to the transport. Eclipse stepped slowly and carefully down the stairs, the liquid inside the vials sloshing quietly as the box swayed slightly. She reached the transport and reared back, resting her front talons on the truck for balance as she carefully set the box in the flat back, making the transport lean and creak somewhat concernedly.
Eclipse glanced back at Tobias still standing near the door to the apartment. She didn't like the way he was watching her, as if he were still turning over the idea of shooting her in his head, despite Rose's reassuring.
Don't you give me that look you crazy scavenger, she thought wrinkling her snout at him. Nothing on this continent gives you the right to take away the very thing that defines the entirety of my tribe. I don't care if it makes you nervous. You are just gonna have to learn to live with the fact that I am a Lunarwing, and you can't take that from me.

Soon enough the transport truck had been loaded, the three of them finishing carrying out the last boxes and shutting the door behind them, Rose locked it and deposited the keys into one of her bags. The dark brown dragon glided over to the truck and gently set the last box into place. “Alright then, take this down to the arena and I’ll meet you there later. Thank you two for the help.”
She said with a dip of her head.

Tobias didn't return her defiant look. Instead, he leaned against the doorway, puffing out his cheeks and slowly blowing out a heavy breath, removing his hat and running a hand through his hair. "I need to get back to Sol. How close.. do you need my help?" He pushed himself off the doorframe.

Agch, I'll sync 'em, I'll sync them.

Tobias nodded, glancing at the bed of the truck, then at Eclipse. He walked around the truck, his left hand still in his pocket. "Walk along side." He ordered, everything about him calm, and bland as he glanced at Eclipse. "I'll go slow."
Tobias yanked the truck door open, pulling himself into the driver's seat, and rolled down the window. Now he was eye level with the LunarWing. He gave a her a quick look. "Okay?"

Eclipse nodded curtly and backed away from the transport, waiting for it to start moving. She wanted to experiment and play with her warping now that it was finally free, like a dragonet finally able to fly outside after a long thunderstorm. But she reminded herself they had a mission, and she was still certain Tobias would shoot her if he saw so much as a flicker of the silver metal. So she paced quickly alongside the truck, keeping her head dipped in fake submission and her wings pulled in tight to her sides.
