Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Omgosh I'm sorry I was trying to read and respond and stuff but my dad started yelling at me about dishes and that took 2 hours and then I was closing up my farm and I totally ran out of time.

Lydia, you don't have to drop the RP just because you aren't active. Your parts are amazing and it won't be as fun if we have to cut or lose people just to keep it going. It's not about how fast we get there, it's just about getting there. My biggest thing rn is trying to slow Cap down a little because she's got such a freaking flaming roll rn she can't stop, lol. I think we decided we are just gonna drag out the parts with the SD groups as much as possible to try and make up for lost time.

Happy Excuse Me GIF

xD, welp, lo siento.

I am scrambling to write a few last, necessary scenes for what I have planned... It's just I get hooked, and then my set ups become two years long :l
And I know we're saying let's dRaG oUt scenes, but that doesn't mean they have to be boring- making the breakout take longer will help give more povs, and a few characters need their personalities nailed (mainly mine :D 🙄).

Apple and Bamboo followed along with the commands, calling 'nope over here' each other now and then.
Apple scanned the sand as they flew, searching for the said limo. She couldn't be sure as to exactly what it looked like, but as she heard Bamboo yell, she realized she didn't have to know exactly what it looked like. She turned mid-air and headed his way. She saw him standing near the limo, over a fallen body. His shoulders were shaking, and he wasn't looking at the limo at all.
She glanced at it, puzzled. Why wasn't he doing something? They could probably lift it in their talons. If they did so, they could easily take it back to the group; what-
"Bamboo! Let's get going!"
Bamboo, not facing her or listening, continued staring at the body. Apple wasn't able to see his face, so how could she know he was sobbing?
"I- Maybe you should go back and tell them yourself, okay?" Bamboo mumbled, coughing slightly to hide his tight voice. He didn't want her to have to see his tears. She was now getting to see the world, and one of her early sight-memories shouldn't be of sorrow.
"Dude- I can see now. I see the limo right here, let's head back with it, save them a trip y'know?" Bamboo heard a grunt behind him, and knew his sister was trying to right the vehicle by herself.
"Apple, I don't think it's a good idea. They said to let them know, not to bring it to them. Just-"
Apple interrupted, her voice bubbling with happiness. "No! I can see now, I want to help!" Her quiet and laid-back disposition was taking a backseat in her escitement to use her new sight. "If we just tackle it together and you stop obsessing over some human-"
"Apple just stop!" Bamboo cut her off suddenly, then clamped his jaw shut and closed his eyes.
He heard the efforts stop, and Apple was silent.
"Jeez. Sorry...." She muttered. "I can just see now, so I wanted to help ou-"
"For someone who can 'help' now, you're not helping much, are you?" Bamboo said under his breath, his scales creeping into sunset shades.
"What was that?!" Apple exclaimed indignantly. "At least I'm trying, you're staring at a human who can't play with you anymore cause it's dead!"
"THAT'S THE FREAKING PROBLEM!!!" Bamboo yelled, whirling around to face her. His scales were streaked in angry striped of red and painful shades of blue. "I KILLED HIM!! And you with your perfectly working eyes can't see beyond your own nose!!"

His mouth clapped shut, and his scales drained of colors, replaced by his normal colors.
He stared at his sister.
"Apple- I'm sorry-" He began.
"Shut up." Apple said between clenched teeth. Her eyes were glued to the sand to at her talons, and her scales began shimmering in shades of maroon and dark green. Bamboo winced at the visual representation of rage and disgust.
"I didn't mean i-" He tried, before she cut him off again.
"I Said. Shut. up." Apple spat, and whipped around so fast her tail sprayed sand at him.

She stalked away so fast and took off flying for the group, that she never once noticed the slow falling tears on Bamboo's face.

That was the worst thing about their bond. When they fought, it was intense.
The quiet ones are the ones to watch out for when they get hurt.

And Bamboo knew that well. As he looked at the long-dead human lying on the ground next to him, all he could utter was this.

"Looks like I'm dead too. Just only to one dragon."
Blackout helped look around, searching intently. His mind spun with thoughts of the flight here. He and Austin had worked together, and it had actually felt nice.
He shook his head again. He had to remind himself not to get sucked in. This was how Austin operated.
Draw others in with a fake facade, pretend to care and be kind, but then yank the rug from underneath later.
It was a well practiced scheme. He had done it many times.
Blackout blinked. He was getting distracted.
He heard wingbeats in the distance, and looked up. It was a red and green Rainwing. It was definitely Apple, but as she landed, he could tell she was angry and hurt. He cast back and realized he wasn't too far off- her untrained scales painted anger and disgust all over herself.
"Apple- are you okay?" He said quietly. He wasn't trying to draw attention to her, but she loudly snapped, "The limo is over there. Get there quick and figure out what it is you want, okay?"
He winced. Attention was definitely now drawn to her.
"Apple, what-"
"No. Just go okay?" Apple responded, a bitter edge to her tone. "And if my brother is still hunched over some stupid human, kick his tail and get him working for me. I'm going back to the oasis. I'll meet you all there."
With that she took off in the direction of the clearing, Blackout looking after her. He was slightly stung from her harsh words, but not for himself; he had heard and received much worse.
No, he was more hurt on behalf of Bamboo.
"Uh- I- Um- Ok." He muttered to himself, trying to right things in his head again.
"Guys, the Rainwings found the limo and want us to go over there... I think." He said, trying to force a light edge to his tone.
Austin stood with the others still at the caravan wreckage. They hadn't quite left but Apple and Bamboo had sped away looking for the limo. Blackout also went looking for it. Alyssia stood by, still looking through trunks of jeeps for luggage, but she was getting more and more frustrated by the moment. How on earth does she think she can get into the Scorpion Den by pretending to be these people? He chuckled slightly at the prospect. She's going to need my help....but do I give her my help?
He walked over to her and heard her muttering something under her breath. "Alyssia, how exactly do you plan on getting into the Scorpion Den?"
Her gaze snapped around towards him and her frown flipped into a mischievous smile. "Oh! Well, once we get the luggage, I was going to put on one of the outfits from the woman and pretend to be her and sneak into the Scorpion Den that way, pretending that the other dragons belong to me."
Austin raised an eyebrow, "You think that'll work?"
A confused look crossed her face and she raised an eyebrow back at him, "You don't think it'll work?"
He mentally took a step back, making sure not say something too offensive to her, "No, that's not what I'm saying, Alyssia. I'm just saying that you might be underestimating the Scorpion Den. They're pretty thorough. It would be pretty difficult to blend in with people all around if you've never been there before."
Her weight shifted and her hand went to her hip, giving her a stubborn look. "Austin, I've thought about that." She turned back towards the jeep, rummaging through things.
He kicked himself mentally. You idiot, now she doesn't trust you. He tried to fix things. "Alyssia, I wasn't trying to be rude-"
"Too late."
He ignored the interruption, "I was just making sure that you know what you're doing." He looked into her eyes. "I don't want this plan falling through on you."

(Now for Alyssia's part)

She had been a little taken aback by Austin's comments. She thought her plan was going to work. It wasn't the best plan ever, but she still thought it would work out. His questions were starting to get to Alyssia and she started to doubt her plan. Is it really going to work? Frustration and worry started to creep into her heart. Placing a hand on her hip to look more defiant, she tried to keep down her building frustration. He looked into her eyes, "I was just making sure that you know what you're doing. I don't want this plan falling through on you."
Her mind was swimming. How could he care? He has no idea who we are. And, we captured him! His hazel eyes seemed to be so caring though. They seemed like they could place a spell on whoever.
Finally, she tore her gaze away and looked back at the jeep. "Oh....thanks, but I think we'll be ok." Another confused look crossed her features. "Why do you care anyway?"
A smile crossed his face. "I can't let a pretty girl like you get captured by the Den now can I?" He winked and turned as Apple and Blackout came back. Apple seemed to say something to Blackout and then turned back towards the direction of the oasis.
Alyssia blushed hard at the comment and was so happy that Austin turned away so he couldn't see it. Blackout came up and spoke, Austin translating.
"They found the limo and want us to go over there....I think."
Alyssia's face lit up, the previous experience being shoved to the back of her mind to be processed later. "They found the limo! Terrific!!! Let's go!" She ran over to Whitestar, a bounce in her step from excitement. "May I please ride you, Whitestar?" she decided to ask, the urgency evident in her voice.

Ty Nikki, I’m really glad!!! And I agree, that’s a great quote abt getting there 😯
Also I TYPED THIS ON MY PHONE AND MIRACLE OF MIRACLES IT WORKED

Bloodmoon looked at her with suspicion written all over his face. "Before you give me anymore drugs, can you fix this?" He swung his tail around and showed it to her. Blood covered the end, but he could see that it had eaten away at his tail quickly. He saw white sticking out of the middle of his tail, probably a bone. He looked back at the pretty dragon. "It stopped hurting a while ago. I think my owner must have drugged me or something."
@Crestcrazy2 did you ever respond to this? Or do you wanna just act like BM got the stuff?

Jabez was just roaming. He looked at the dragons in the cages and went over to help them. He knew this was breakout time, and he wanted to help. The Silkwing was moving its mouth, but Jabez just shook his head and pointed to his ear. The dragon closed its mouth and nodded. It pointed to a break in the metal. It started pushing and Jabez caught on and started pulling. The door vibrated then swung open. The silkwing smiled and looked at Jabez expectantly. The pair started walking down the hall. A group of rebellion workers was passsing by and Jabez nodded to them. The Silkwing bowed to Jabez and tapped one of them on the shoulder. He whipped around and saw the dragon. They talked for a while, then started moving away with the Silkwing in tow. One dragon saved.

Crest saw the giant dragon and caught a slight glimpse of movement behind the giant dragon before being engulfed in a giant hug. He felt the cool lunarwing's scales against his, but the more prevalent feeling he had was the warmth from the king's wings. Something in him seemed to be revolted by it and he shifted uncomfortably in Helios' grasp. I may have almost killed you. How have you forgiven me so easily? Being released from the embrace, he went back to having his head lowered submissively but still watching the two dragons and keeping his senses alert to everything around them.
He watched the two converse when the solarwing looked his way, "I'm glad you're alive, Soldier, I wasn't sure if....nevermind."
Crest's interest had been nudged and he wanted to know more. Wasn't sure if what?! If they killed me! Did I do something so awful I should be put do death. Unless....did I almost die? He halted this dangerous train of thought and focused again on what the dragons were doing.
Movement caught his eye and he tensed. A small human stood with a camera ready to snap photos of them. Crest quickly assessed the small human. Doesn't look threatening. His weapon is just one of those picture devices that humans like. Doesn't seem to have any immediate weapons. The human began speaking dragon and Crest relaxed a little, deciding that he wasn't an immediate threat. He took a few steps towards the human as Eclipse pulled out some weird silver object and held it in mid air with what seemed like her mind. Is this what legends call "warping"? He took another step towards the human almost defensively. He didn't want any unnecessary deaths.
No more death...not now.
He tried to keep up, his headache beginning to return and his thoughts swirling in his head. Another human came bursting in and she glanced at him. I must look like a wreck. He thought, slightly amused. He continued opening cages and letting dragons out. The well kept dragons had so much. They had food and
Water.
He stared at the substance like it was a dream. The dragon from the cage escaped it, but Crest stayed staring at the water. The others were making their way to the doors, but Crest stayed. He stared into the pool, memories seemingly swimming in it. Nothing made any sense. He was fighting, then he saw nightwings, then he saw Minami, now he's escaping, and they are planning a rebellion. Nothing made sense! His head hurt from it all. But one thing made sense to him. Water is life.
His animal instincts suddenly kicked in and he dove for the water, not caring who or what might stand in his way. He drank deep and long, relishing each drop. It felt like complete relief to him. Nothing else seemed to matter. Water....home...life.
I respond to this In a bit! Currently on my break rn

No I haven’t! But I shall!

Rose winced when she saw the wound, “hmmm, I don’t know. Though, you just gave me and incredible idea-..rapid healing drugs. I may have something….”
She said, digging in her bags and handing him things to hold while she dug further. She pulled out a jar with moss at the bottom and something that looked like an ant with wings, and two giant venomous fangs and a stinger, Then a vial filled with blood red worms with circular mouths filled with serrated teeth. And several more hideous bugs including scorpions and flesh burrowing grubs. Finally she got to the bottles of medicine and other drugs, pulling out a salve and a roll of bandaging material. She lifted his tail up and began bandaging it quickly, applying the healing salve and wrapping it up.
You best not be leaving things like that without attention. Oh don’t drop that Venomous Spit Spider.”

Bloodmoon balanced the many jars in his large talons. The dragon gave him creepy bugs and worms. Maybe she shouldn't trust me with these. She finally bandaged his tail and put a cool cream on it. He looked up at her when she mentioned a Venomous Spit Spider. "Um, maybe you should take these things. Like, now. Please."
