Chester leaned back out, firing a few rounds before ducking back in, Rose's serum and the adrenaline numbing the pain, though she could clearly see her hand dripping with blood.
Ferrin began retreating down to hall, signaling to Chester, and she nodded, trying to control her excited breaths.

Nic covered them as they retreated down the hall. An arm appeared and aimed a gun towards him. Standing his ground, he fired. Miss. He ducked and looked back at the others.

Should Nic stay or go?

Tobias, gun still in hand, picked his pace up to a quick jog, falling back again and matching his pace to the second group of dragons. A fair skinned man led the group, giving Tobias a stiff nod, his cheeks red as he panted.
"Everyone good?" Tobias asked, breathing heavily.
The man nodded, "Just- hurry."
More shouts came from up ahead, and Tobias felt his heart jump. Now this was serious. Now he'd have to fight for his life.

Eclipse fell into pace beside Tobias, Helios tagging along close behind. She nearly tripped at the sound of weapon fire erupting into the hall in front of them. She summoned more of her warping, keeping the two blades tucked beneath her wings so no one accidentally ran into their razor points.
She was ready for a fight, but a part of her wondered if this was one they could win. She would never admit that she was terrified, but not for herself. She was terrified of what would happen to the others around her if they lost. Sol would be crushed if Tobias and Helios never made it out. There were others who were waiting on the rest of these dragons as well. Some on the first transports, others throughout the rest of the continent. The entire point of this mission was to get out alive. Every life that fell in a fight was a piece of the mission lost in vain.

SORRY, you guys were talking about Top Gun and I recently watched Maverick with my grandparents I was thinking about the part where he kept saying "Don't tell me why, tell his/her family at the funeral" just kept replacing in my brain so.......
