Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Cap, nobody can have a normal conversation with you around.

Bloodmoon shuddered. "It was." Images of her past rushed through his mind. What? He looked over at her. "I'm sure your life wan't a piece of cake either."
Eclipse felt the scales beneath her eyes flare with embarrassment and she shifted uncomfortably.
Three moons, I hope he didn't just read my mind. It's probably just a guess, right? I'm a Lunarwing, so he'd naturally assume that... I hope.
"Well, I mean," she paused, forcing the nervousness out of her voice. "No, but, that's just how it is for my whole tribe. I'm nothing different or special."

"I think you're very special," Bloodmoon blushed. "I had Lunarwing parents though, adopted of course, but still..."

Now Eclipse could see the glow emanating off her warping scales.
"That's," she cleared her throat, once again trying to keep the embarrassment out of her voice. "That's... interesting." She glanced shyly at the Nightwing. For the first time since meeting Bloodmoon, she realized that something about the way he looked at her seemed frighteningly familiar. In fact, she could easily put a name to the only other dragon that ever looked at her that way.
She turned her face away from him, trying to hide her panic.
No, no, no, he can't get close to me. Three moons, don't let him think that way about me.
She shoved the thoughts into the pits of her mind, trying to smother them over with vague thoughts of the space around them and focusing on what Bloodmoon had said. She hoped he couldn't read them
"What happened to them?" she said, glancing back at him again, managing to regain most of her composure. "Your parents."

What? "Um, they got killed for... their hides." Bloodmooon looked over at her couriously. "Eclipse, what's wrong?"

"Nothing," Eclipse blurted quickly, standing up and stretching. She forced her gaze to the ground in front of her, randomizing her thoughts as much as she could, forcibly turning her mind into a jumbled mess.
"I'm sorry about your parents. I suppose I can understand that to an extent." She sat down on the metal ground and curled her tail over her talons, staring at the furthest wall.

Great job you dummy. Bloodmoon sighed and laid back down again. Nice job blowing it.

Guilt clawed at Eclipse's chest and she glanced at Bloodmoon again. He looked discouraged and Eclipse couldn't say she didn't know why. She sighed, running a talon over her snout before she laid back on the ground, still keeping her distance from the Nightwing.
"Did you ever think about leaving the Den before now?" she muttered, flicking a stray pebble that had been tracked into the transport across the metal floor.
