Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

I think the truck Eclipse is in is the last Transport still in the city borders.

..not... Out of the city borders :D

✋😏 Come join me and Poopins in jail, Josh. Just- come on over, buddy.
Helios should definitely escape, we still need him and Sol to reunite!
Lol I shall
"Oh. It's Tobias." Ferrin murmered. "Afraid you forgot to include that part." He set his bags down beside the door, striding into the small Infirmary.
Tobias stood shakily beside a table in the center of the room, his blackened forearm pinned on the table's slick surface. Two security guards stood at Tobias' side, holding him steady as a pair of doctors examined the wound.
"Goodness gracious." Ferrin exclaimed quietly, walking silently to the opposite end of the skinny table.
Upon seeing him, Tobias stiffened, each breath heavy and pointed, as if one could accuse a man by breathing.
Ferrin leaned on the table, staring back at Tobias' unfocused eyes with a calm air. "You say an IceWing did this?"
"That is what we were told." Alley agreed, rolling Tobias' sleeve up to reveal more deep grey tinted skin.
Johnson strode up behind Ferrin, a syringe in hand. "It's spreading remarkably fast. We had Xander in here a few minutes ago, and not even he knew what was going on."
Ferrin slowly reached out and brushed his fingers across Tobias' wrist, frowning deeply. "That is... unnaturally cold, when did you say this happened again?"
"An hour ago, maybe more." Johnson replied, moving closer to Tobias' side with the syringe. He popped the top off, inserting the needle just below the elbow.
"Can he feel it?" Ferrin asked softly, slowly lifting his gaze to meet Tobias' silent, fighting stare.
Johnson gave a quiet chuckle, nodding his head, "Oh, yes, he most definitely can feel it. Should have seen him thirty minutes ago."
Ferrin sighed heavily, moving his hand further up Tobias' arm, searching for a reaction as he gently put pressure on the skin. Tobias did not oblige. "What did you give him?"
Alley snorted, "Everything in the book, that's why we called you in."
"Morphine?"
"Yes."
Ferrin gave a knowing nod, sliding his hand back down Tobias' arm while meeting his gaze. He felt Tobias stiffen as his fingers tips grazed the man's palm. Holding his gaze, Ferrin pressed harder, and Tobias' silent composure broke, shuddering as he doubled over.
"Okay." Ferrin decided rather abruptly, pulling away from the table and walking towards his bags. "Do we know who this IceWing was?"
"No-" Johnson replied, "but I can get the dragons numbers later if need be."
Ferrin clicked his tounge and knelt beside his bags, pulling a wide, skinny box from his briefcase. "Now, the rebellion seems to have created a sedative countering drug of sorts, you may have noticed?" The doctors agreed as Ferrin set the case down of the counter, flipping the latch open. "Well, within this counter drug they created, there seems to be an energy stimulate, as well as ability restoration. It works unnaturally fast, and I'd wager the strain it puts on the body is absolutely horrid. But this would be the cause for why the IceWing'a frost breath was so detrimental." Ferrin brushed a hand through the front of his curly, gray streaked hair as his free hand opened the case, revealing a pair of syringes. "This-" Ferrin explained, reaching for the left needle, "is my own serum, designed to reduce the effects of many sorts of spreading viruses. In theory, it's job is very similar of that of the virus- it spreads throughout the body, eliminating all which contrasts to it. Try it. In theory, it should slow the ice until you, or I, create an antidote."
Ferrin handed the syringe to Johnson, locking eyes with Tobias once again as the doctor leaned over the table, puncturing Tobias' frostbite wrist with the sharp needle point. Again, Tobias didn't react, and Ferrin was genuinely impressed- as the serum spread, Tobias' expression flickered, but, with a trembling, strangled breath, he held Ferrin's gaze. Scoffing slightly, Ferrin took the last syringe from the case, offering the needle to Alley. Tobias faltered, pulling away from the table for a moment before the guards slammed him back against the counter.
"Calm down." Ferrin muttered, turning his attention back to the syringe in Alley's hand. "Run tests on that. It was retrieved from yours truly." Ferrin nodded towards Tobias as he strode towards his bags.
"Is this the rebel serum?"
"If you want to give it a stupid name, be my guest." Ferrin retorted, opening the door. "Keep me updated on him. And, darling, if you really want to keep him alive, do something about that bullet wound?" With that, Ferrin left the room, the door hissing shut behind him.
Was Ferrin a traitor to the rebellion?!

Lol I shall

Was Ferrin a traitor to the rebellion?!
Ummm. Kind of? Just wait. He's playing double agent, but Tobias doesn't know that, and the others are wary of him after what happened to Roe. Things will clear up, but I need *time* to pass before more starts happening. The SD is going to be utter chaos right now- so Ferrin will have to lay low before attempting anything drastic.

Jabez- a dragon, Gables, and Fracture are all in jail rn on level 3 of The Maze. Maybe Rose could join them?

Dred stretched his wings out to catch even more dry, desert wind. The convoy of huge transport trucks looked like a line of giant ants marching towards their nest. He assumed the nightwings had been drugged because they weren’t following to his knowledge. (Sorry y’all, I still just don’t have the most extra bestest grasp on what’s happened so far, gonna try and read it all in a bit!) Tiny figures, humans most liked from the rebellion, pulled sandy colored tarps over the trucks, making them almost invisible from up above the desert. Dragons of all species and ages flew beside him, making his instinct kick in and he slowly glided over to the closest Mudwings, all of them acknowledging each other and taking in the freedom. But even as it was the happiest day of his life, it was filled with so much sadness. On his way out of the SD with the others, he’d gotten his talons on his old files. They told of his sibs…. and how they’d all died because of a toxic gas released during a raid of the compound by rival Mudwing breeders, right after he had been taken to a different lot.
He couldn’t get them back, but he could live for them as best he could. He’d find a way to avenge them.

……….DARK……NO SUN…..

…..soo cooolddd……
………dangerrr….no lifeeee….

Various small sprouts and plants clung loosely to the little life they had managed to keep. The artificial light in the cold, damp, echoey place couldn’t support plant life. They whispered in Roses head, but she could barely hear them thru the ringing in her ears. As she opened her eyes, the slight movement sent a shockwave of pain erupting from her head. It felt like her head was growing from the inside, she could imagine it was getting bigger and bigger…ready to explode. But the pain just kept coming, making it seem like an eternity of agony. She gasped in pain and shifted her weight. She tried to raise her talons to her head but found them tightly chained to the ground, so instead she placed her head in-between her talons on the cold steel floor, the cool metal helping slightly to ease the pain.
She opened her eyes and found her vision was spotty and blurry, spots appearing and disappearing in a hypnotic motion. Finally it cleared enough to look around the room, albeit very uncomfortably.
Voices seemed to be emanating from around the corner, just passed her line of sight, it was Ferrins. But it sounded…off. Cold or uneasy.
The voices died down a bit and the prison walls hissed and retracted before Ferrins voice was gone altogether.
Hello? Who’s there?”

Ferrin heard the dragon's weak call, and he stopped, his brow furrowed as he turned on his heel, walking swiftly around the corner. He swore under his breath, recognizing Rose instantly as he knelt beside her cage, glancing at the savage cuffs cutting into the dragon's wrists. "Rose? Rose." He hissed, slamming the palm of his hand against the bars of the small cell, "Hea- no. Eyes open." Footsteps approached, and Ferrin ruefully reached for his bags, giving Rose an apologetic look as he started down the hallway again. One of the security guards from the Infirmary carried Tobias' limp body down the hall. Ferrin gave the guard a polite nod, scowling when he realized the bullet wound had not yet been cared for- as if he needed more to do.
Ferrin took very slow strides down the hall, turning back immediately when the guard disappeared from sight. "Rose. Rose, what did they give you? They haven't injected you with anything, right?" She looked nearly as delirious as Tobias had back in the Infirmary, and Ferrin groaned softly, suddenly realizing what a predicament they were in. If half the prisoners couldn't even think straight, how on earth was he to get everyone safely out of The Den?
" Rose," he hissed again, finally catching her attention. "What did they do to you?"

Hep, sorry, forgot the tag, Jossshhh.

Ferrin knelt beside her…free. Had his rebel status gone undetected? Had the others even made it out?!
Why was Ferrin free and being all polite with the guards, as if they were on his side?
Rose glared suspiciously at the man, her head pounding again and forcing her to squeeze her eyes shut to battle the intense pain. “I don’t know….all I remember is a pretty bad gunfight…and my…leg-”
She remembered in horror the gunshots that sounded while administering the last of the serum to the escapees, the bullets that shredded her left back leg. How had she not noticed the pain? Her wing slowly rose into the air, revealing her leg from within the shadows filled with large bullet holes that seeped crimson blood, staining her dark wooden-like scales. “Oh, ah. Thats really weird…I can’t feel it at all. They must’ve numbed me up like crazy.” She moaned, turning her head over and revealing a small pin prick below her left ear to Ferrin. “I think they did something to my head…my Leafspeak hurts to use…REALLY bad.” She complained, looking him over again and finally asking. “Why are you not locked up? …..I swear if your not with us after all this time I’ll feed you to my devils thorny vines. Tell me the truth Ferrin.” She whispered dangerously.

Ferrin arched an eye brow, giving Rose a critical look. "I just love the trust thing going on here." He stood. "Look around you. Look around  me. If I were on your side," Ferrin spat, his voice suddenly intense, louder than before, "would I tell you so in public?" He grabbed his bags, "No. I am no fool. Unlike the lot of you rebellious scum." Ferrin leaned close to the cage, lowering his voice, "I am going to get you out of here, give me half a moment. Don't say anything stupid."

Ach, tags, THE TAGGGSS @Crestcrazy2.

"Close the- close the doors," Owens yelped as the truck roared, turning sharply onto the highway.
Eclipse held her steady as the first door slammed into place. Sirens blared a truck screeched towards them, pulling out from behind the first officers car, the red, blue lights illuminating a form leaning out the passenger window, gun in hand.
The steady roll of the automatic weapon, and bullets careening through the air, ricocheting off the steel as the truck jostled and bumped, the vehicles easily pushing 80. Eclipse released her, focusing on the warped shield, which kept being snapped out of place with every jerk of the vehicle.
"Eclipse!" Owens half screamed over the roar of the engine, "Eclipse, we have got to play defense. Use your warping! Use your-" a bullet slammed into her chest, and Owens stumbled back.

(Yeah... Just- stop getting attached to my characters, K? Except Tobe. Your probably safe with Tobe. Sol? You're pretty safe with him. The others? Eehhh. Not so much :/)
Amazing folks

Sunspot hurried up to Eclipses side, flaring her wings to catch her balance as the transport jolted into motion. One door was shut but the other swung wildly on its hinges as the engine roared, the truck gaining speed. Shrieking, flashing vehicles tore after them. Gunshots filled the air.

The human that had just been pulled into the truck was in full defense mode, shouting orders. Eclipse looked terrified but determined, her warping shield deflecting bullets. Suddenly the human lurched back. Sunspot whirled towards her, using her teeth to snatch the back of her shirt. “Sandsnakes,” she cursed, as blood welled out from a wound in Owens chest.

She hurried to the back of the transport where Bloodmoon was, gingerly dragging the small human along. She whacked Bloodmoon over the head with her tail.

“I can’t help her!” she shouted, lowering Owens. “Do something!”
Eclipse stumbled again as the vehicle jerked, flinching as another volley of bullets tore through the back of the truck. Dragons shrieked and scrambled to get out of the way as several of the projectiles ricocheted off the metal walls. Eclipse felt one of them graze her neck and she ducked, readjusting the warping shield in front of the swinging door. She glanced around briefly for the girl that had been standing beside her a moment before, fearing what she might find.
The human was lying on the ground in front of Bloodmoon and a very panicked-looking Sunspot. Blood welled out of the girl's chest and seeped down her clothes, her eyes flickering dangerously dim.
The transport heaved again and Eclipse slammed into the closed door, her warping shield ringing like a town bell as it banged against one of the walls and nearly fell out of the truck.
Another eruption of bullets tore through the truck, and Eclipse lifted the shield quickly, only managing to block a little more than half of the weapon fire.
She stumbled over to the open door, pressing against the one that was latched to hold her balance as she recollected the broken pieces of warping off the ground. The silver metal glinted menacingly as a large blade formed behind the shield and Eclipse peered tentatively around the corner before launching the blade at one of the flashing transports. The dagger smashed through the fragile clearstone on the front and the vehicle swerved violently. Eclipse ducked back behind the door to avoid another round of fire, not caring to see what became of the transport she'd hit, only summoning the blade back and reinforcing the metal on the shield.
Blasted moons, we have to get that door closed.
She growled low in her throat as more of the gunfire shredded the warping.
