Of Feathers And Flames- A Wings of Fire AU RP

Whitestar was jolted out of his thoughts as Apple landed roughly in the sand nearby. The Rainwing's scales were rippling uncontrollably with a mix of all sorts of colors and Whitestar wasn't sure what a single one meant. She looked a combination of furious and hurt, and before Whitestar could even say anything, she was already flying back toward the oasis.
Whitestar stared after her in shock for a long moment before glancing back at Blackout, Alyssia, and the hunter, watching Alyssia in amusement as she bounced excitedly toward him. He knelt down beside her again and held out his talon to boost her up like before in the oasis.
"I feel like someone should go after Apple," he said quietly, turning back to Blackout. "I'm not sure what's wrong--actually, I don't think anyone is--but I think it's safer we all stick together."
He stood up as Alyssia clambered up between his shoulders.
"We'll start by heading to the transport. Once we get there and Alyssia can start working on the plan, maybe I can go talk to her."
He turned in the direction the Rainwing had come from and, after giving Alyssia a small warning, he lept into the air and began flying in the direction of the limo.

(I know, I know, it's terrible, I am not really in it today, yesterday was rough. I will try throughout the day to get back into it more)

“Not as strong as I’d like,” Sunspot shouted back, shooting an experimental blast past Eclipses head. “But it works now.” Her claws skittered on the floor of the transport and she pinned her ears against the cacophony of noise.
"If you can blast enough fire in front of them to distract them or throw them off, I may be able to get the door closed," Eclipse called over the noise.
"Just wait until the gunfire pauses." She signaled toward the small amount of protection the closed door provided.
"Use this for cover and wait for my signal."
Eclipse crouched next to the Solarwing, waiting for the weapons to pause.

Another volley of bullets tore across the back of the transport, sending more splinters of warping shattering across the metal floor. The truck swerved again and Eclipse curled her claws against the slick surface to keep from sliding or stumbling again. The smaller transports behind them shrieked and howled like a pack of starving Snowwings as they bore down on their target.
The next few moments happened almost too fast for Eclipse to keep up with. The gunfire paused and the warping shield yanked backwards out of the way, still recollecting its shattered bits. The truck swerved slightly again, making the unlatched door swing around and slam against the entrance before bouncing open again.
"Now," Eclipse growled close to Sunspot, leaping forward into the blue and red lights that splashed through the opening. Fire erupted around the door, drowning most of the artificial flashing and Eclipse heard the transports wheel's screech violently. She reached out, half blinded from the light, and caught ahold of the loose and badly dented door, lurching backwards and slamming the thing shut just as Sunspot's fire cut off.
Her warping shield dissolved, shifting into an edgeless spike, and stabbed through the damaged latches, pinning it into the bottom of the transport. Eclipse flinched as she heard more gunfire patter against the doors, but none of it breached the metal walls.
She stumbled away from the doors, only just realizing the deep sting in one of her forearms.
Eclipse glanced at Sunspot, flicking her a small, genuine smile.

Rose slowly got inside the cell, a guard nearby drumming his fingers across a keyboard and entering the name, Wither Rose Freeborn Into the digital panel. The door squealed shut with the horrid sound of metal scraping on metal.
Possibly a faulty door, maybe I can escape? It sounds as if it’s adjusted wrong, could help. If Ferrin turns out untrustworthy.

She breathed out a short few breaths as she layed down, pain coursing thru her as she settled her Injured leg. Her head still pounded nauseatingly, making her feel sick and unstable. There wasn’t a single plant in this hallway, so no Leafspeak was trying to pry into her head. But the voices she could hear weren’t comforting either.
True to Fracture's prediction, the opposite door to Gables' right swung open, Rose stumbling in, dropping to the floor a moment later. Gables' eyes were drawn to her marred leg, and he gasped quietly. A lot of blood.
Fracture was quick to the point, leaning against the bars, " Rose." She whispered, trying to catch the dragon's eye in the dim light. "Rose, it's Fracture. And Gables. Jabez is behind us, do you know anyth.." Fracture trailed off when the door didn't close, a tall, lanky figure stepping through the threshold, pushing the door shut behind him.
Gables gripped the cell bars, breathing heavily, "Ferrin, you s-" Fracture elbowed him in the ribs and Gables scowled, taking a step away from the tall woman.
"Don't finish that sentence." She warned, her accent making each word increasingly threatening.
Ferrin knelt beside Rose, running a hand down her flank, hardly seeming to notice Gables practically fuming behind him.
"You messed up." Gables spat.
"I saved your life." Ferrin retorted the moment Gables finished his accusation, as if the businessman had been dying to defend himself.
"But not her!" Gables shouted, and Fracture stood up beside him, her tall frame dwarfing Gables muscular build.
"They will come if they sense the prisoners are being disturbed." She warned.
Gables swore, clenching the bars. "I don't care, Fracture." He said quickly, swallowing hard, "Dadgummit, I don't care."
"Oh, shut up, Gables," Ferrin scoffed in a drawling tone as he opened the briefcase. "Do not say things you will regret."
"You act like your on our side." Gables hissed. "But your no better than them, you killed her, Ferrin! You're the reason she's dead."
Fracture pushed Gables against the wall, and he retaliated, shoving her back, his fists raised.
"They will come," Fracture repeated in a half desperate tone, raising her hands in submission, "do not do something you regret."
Gables looked away, spitting. He paced to the opposite side of the cell, slamming his fist against the wall.
Fracture glanced at Ferrin, who met her gaze momentarily as he walked around Rose, beginning to dab at her wounded leg with gauze. "No matter what you may believe, I am on your side. I regret what happened to Gongll." He repositioned himself, shushing Rose as she flinched. "But living in regret of past mistakes never did anyone any good."

The transport was suddenly much quieter, with the door closed. “Phew,” said Sunspot, settling back a little, smoke still curling from her nostrils and mouth as she spoke. She grinned at Eclipse. “We’re not dead! Right? We’re not dead? Not even a little bit injured dead?”

Her adrenaline rush had her mind spinning still. “We just had an EPIC CAR CHASE,” she yelled. “If only-“ she cut herself off, mouth snapping shut.

Eclipse laughed. Ever since meeting Sunspot, Eclipse had never expected to see the Solarwing genuinely happy about anything. She seemed prickly and distant around everyone else, and nothing seemed to appease her.
But something was different now.
"If only what," Eclipse pressed, shifting as the transport swung again, the sound of the gunfire on the metal fainter.
