Interesting... Sage thought as he saw the cloudwing's reaction out of the corner of his eye. Could he be? The way the cloudwing said Vulture's name sent a slight confirmation of Sage's hunch and he decided to act on that hunch.
"What do you want?" the cloudwing hissed at him, obviously growing skeptical of the strange dragon in front of him.
This dancing around stuff is making me crazy. I'm just gonna get to the point. Sage turned towards the cloudwing and stood, his full form showing. The human-like face with piercing blue eyes and horns extending from his head. The scaly gray skin going all the way down his body and claws extending from his human-like hands and his dragon-like feet. His tail thrashed once as he stood and then hovered in the air, tensed for combat. Finally, Sage stretched his long wings to show the full form of the creature standing in front of this cloudwing.
"Vulture sent me to extend an invitation to you," he began. "He thinks that you would be an excellent help in fighting against Queen Cirrus. We can help you and you can help us." He looked the cloudwing in the eyes, "You're grandfather specifically wanted you."
He waited, studying the reaction of the cloudwing. Sage's hand hovered right over the muzzle. I better be right about his grandfather. Killing this early in the morning is not my favorite...

“Three moons,” Corvus hissed as the creature revealed himself.

And then he bolted. Kicking off the lake pebbles, Corvus shot into the air, black wings pumping. He hoped the creature couldn’t fly.

What does Vulture want with me?

The black CloudWing dove into the trees, weaving between them like he had learned when avoiding hunter patrols.

"Oh, everything went fine, dear." Jun scanned the cave, her eyes narrowing. "Might you know where the LunarWing, Eclipse, went? I thought she was here with Sol.. but evidently they both have gone missing."
Vel frowned, then hissed, her tail lashing in annoyance. "They better not have left, I swear, if he went after To-"
Jun silenced the grey RainWing with a quick shake of her head, then turned her attention back to Hibiscus. "Heavens, I hope they didn't leave... Do you- do you know where they might have gone, Hi? They were with you last, correct?"

"Oh, right. Yeah, they were both here, but they rushed off just a little while ago. I can't say I have a clue where they went, though," the LeafWing replied, tilting her head. "It seemed urgent. I hope they're ok." Her expression shifted to concern and she glanced toward the cave entrance. "I.. my best guess is that they went after Tobias."

Vel swore very loudly. Juniper cleared her throat, unamused by her companions colorful language.
"HA. They've got no where to go, the morons!" Vel snarled, turning towards the cave exit.
Jun shook her head, rushing to the massive RainWing's side. "No, no, Vel, don't go-"
"Not far. I'll be back. Just see how far they got. Sol'll prolly be dead by now anyway, no way has he recovered from the arena that fast." She smirked, with a jesting air. "Someone'll have to carry the body."
Juniper gave Hibiscus an apologetic look, turning on the dragon with a motherly air, "Vel, I am not amused. Don't say such things, we cannot go off-"
"Juniper, Jun, Junjunjun-" Vel gave her a cool, annoyed look. "Never said we."
The husky dragon lumbered off towards the cavern exit, and a silent debate warred in Jun's mind as she turned back to Hibiscus with an embarrassed look. "I'm sorry, Vel just- well, you know, speaks her mind, all the time. She shouldn't make jokes about such serious matters." Jun glanced out through the cavern again. "I'm going to get Kass and Kal. Vel shouldn't go alone." She gave Hibiscus a polite smile, then hesitated. "You're- you're welcome to come. Up to you, of course, we aren't leaving for the next checkpoint for a few hours yet, so if you want some fresh air.." Jun motioned to the exit. "Up to you, dear, of course."

Hibiscus was shocked by Vel's intensity but nodded at Juniper's words. "I would love to come," she said. "I need to make sure Sol's ok." She stood up and followed Juniper to the exit, shaking her wings. She turned back to Cas, saying "I'll be back, Cas. Don't do anything dumb." She grinned at the SkyWing, then bounced after Jun.

Kassa and Kal joined Juniper, goofily following her and Hibiscus through the cavern.
The night air was humid, but not nearly as stifling as the cave.
Jun stretched her wing, clenching her talons in the coarse sand. "Kal, Kass- go catch up to Vel, please. Hibiscus, you may join them if your looking to stretch. Actually, it's probably been a while since you've had an opportunity to fly? Can you fly?"
Kassa saluted Jun, leaping into the air.
"Boys," Juniper called, "don't go too far! And bring Vel back, please!"
"Gotchu." Kal nodded, following Kassa into the night sky.
Juniper smiled, watching the ridiculous pair spiral in unison. "Hi, I'll follow on talon, you should join them. Don't let me stop you. They're not going far anyway."
